Orioles at Hummer Feeder, Cats after Bluebirds

My first post on this forum, hope someone here can give advice! I have Hummers all year, mostly one family at a time. This is my entertainment and now I have two Orioles, who are quite beautiful, but lousey dispositions, greedy, etc. The Orioles fly in, hit the feeder till it splashes all over the patio which is an invitation to ants. I put a collar around the feeder, but that give them something bigger to hit and make bigger splashes. I could fill the feeder twice a day, but there just isn't time for that. So is there a deterrant of sorts that will keep the Orioles off the feeder.

Now in the evenings the Blue birds come to visit and get their goodies. I toss them on the grass in back(crumbled suet) & they fly in, land, chirp a bit and then go for dinner. They didn't show this p.m. then I saw three cats from next door lurking in the flowers, ready to pounce on any flying thing! So what now?? Pat
