Sorry it has taken me a while to get back and check in. I was out of town for work and just got home. Thanks so much everyone for the compliments. It makes me feel good, I must admit. I always seem to see what needs to be done, and sometimes forget to look at what it is! I will try to answer everyone's questions. Hope I don't miss any. In no particular order... The lilies in the "big" picture are almost all daylilies. The lilies in the close-up pictures I am not sure. Just some bulbs I picked up, probably at a big box store or the local garden center? Sorry I don't have their names. The rose pictured in the 4th picture is Morden Belle. There are actually 3 bushes planted in that bed. I hope that is the rose you meant? Yes, I do have the courtyard of roses and yes they are blooming. However, many of the roses on the fence were taken down this year due to RRD. I have planted bittersweet in their place. Won't be the beautiful flowers, but will provide privacy that won't get RRD. As you can see from the picture below, the fence is now pretty bare looking on the side. I have decided that I will try to keep the roses on the fence across the end and around the corner. The need for privacy there is not so great, as the Wine and Roses weigela in the island bed does screen most of the garden from that end. Again, thank you everyone! Debra, it is a bit hard to say how well it could do. I originally had it planted by a shrub that quickly overshadowed it. It did OK, the blooms looked good but below average bud count. I left it there a couple of years & moved it last fall. It looks MUCH better this year & has lots of buds. Seems to be a bigger clump too. It is listed as a mid late, I don't have many actual "late" daylilies, but this is blooming with those. It is listed as a rebloomer, & I know it did rebloom for me last year when it was in the shade. Hoping for good things from it now. Really, I don't think the photos do it justice! I like Neon Rainbow too, Mantis, but it is not one I would really recommend based on how it is here. I got this one 4 or 5 years ago as a single fan. It bloomed the following spring & developed another fan which disappeared in summer with the heat. Same thing following year. This year the 2nd fan appeared again, but it managed to bloom this spring, so hopefully it will hold on this time. It is holding one of the better spots in my garden too, where it gets additional water when it needs it, fertilizer, etc. Rita, Orange Bounty is not fancy or anything, but it is one of my late bloomers, although it is listed as mid season for some reason. It usually doesn't start blooming til early July. This year it had a couple of fans that bloomed in early June with my earliest ones though,bloomed shorter than usual though. I thought that might be all it was going to do, but come July the rest of the fans broke out in bloom. Thanks Linda, this is the 2nd year for Sings the Blues & it is looking much better than it did last year. I was so happy when that seedling first bloomed, & I still like it but would like to see it with more buds.

Bob, saw Nancy's post and am comparing Matchless Fire. It is really great and I know your favorite color scheme. I don't always like the oranges but this one is so nice. BTW, I take pictures with my iPhone, don't know if you have tried this, touch the screen when you have the flower on your screen. It brings up a yellow square that sharpens the focus, it works really well for me. Here is an example from my iPhone Sherry

Just beautiful, you aren't supposed to show me new ones that I don't have!!! I love that Spatacus. You better start looking for new places to put those Liberty's that are together. They get huge!! I had to move two of mine this Spring. They want all the space for themselves.

Oh. My. God. This must be a dream.

May I ask three things, hoping not to repeat any past questions to you:

1. Being in the UK, may I assume you can leave your pots where they are during your winters?

2. Why do you have foil taped to your pots; to keep slugs out?

3. Are you pots clay or plastic or both?

hi patann...answer to your questions..

1...leave all out,no problem over here..thank god!
2...it seems to keep the slugs and snails at bay,but also use pellets and garlic(not sure on this yet)
3...both...i do like to use clay,but the really big ones its just easier and cheaper to use plastic
