Hard freeze comin'

roadtrip

After two days of temps in the 70's and perhaps hitting 80 tomorrow, we're looking at temperatures in the mid 50's for hights come Wednesday, or a thirty degree swing, with overnight lows in the lower/mid 20's through the weekend.

I KNEN this was too good to last!

I know when a frost threatens I've taken sheet out and covered the big ones with leaves already flushed out. Right now most are still emerging, some several-three inches in height, but what would be the best thing to protect them from temps like this?

Is this a case of pray to the Hosta gods and let them be?

Thanks in advance!!

Shannon
