Questions about my Hoya clipping...

Hello,

If anyone could help me answer the following questions, I would be extremely grateful.

I started out with three clippings of mature Hoya plant handed down through three generations in my family, each being about a foot in length. Anyways, I decided to try and repot them into a nicer pot because the pot they were in was to large for three clippings. To let you know, I am just now beginning to grow house plants! Well, when I took them out, only one clipping had succes and the roots fell off the others so only one is continuing to grow.

The problem is the small red buds that were starting to come out dried out and fell off. The question is are those small red buds going to grow any new leaves. One of the set of buds took off about three weeks ago but since then has not grown much at all. I am very worried and I am not too sure if I should have new clippings set in my pot. Thank you and sorry for the length of my message!
