The Fun Quilter is on order! Don't know when it will get here, but it is ordered. Happy Anniversary to me! Donna, I think it is just this machine. The first one they sent sewed like a dream. No trouble with it at all for almost a year, except a small hole at the base (they are stretch machines) and started leaking a small bit of oil. They Hinterberg folks said it was still under warranty so send it back and they would repair/replace it. So I did, and here begins my saga. I received a very used machine back and it has been nothing but trouble. Hinterberg was purchased by Nolting, and it took me a long time to track down someone to help. They were very nice and helped me work through most of the problems. We thought about having it refurbished, but it costs a fortune to ship, and there isn't a place close that does that. So this is just the last straw. The Voyager weighs 78 pounds, the Fun Quilter weighs 38. The Voyager uses only King Tut (trust me, I tried), the Fun Quilter uses anything (the lady I went to see showed me her collection of thread and she has quite a collection). They will deliver and set up for me and make sure everything is working well. This is gonna be great. beverly

Debra, it is very easy from seed, yes that is how I started it. It has been blooming maybe a couple of weeks now. The plants usually die back after bloom & I pull them out. It is possible that I could cut them way back before they go to seed & they would rebloom. Seems like I tried it once & it didn't work, but I can't remember for sure. They will probably bloom a couple more weeks & be gone. The seeds will grow again & others will bloom later. I think doing it that way I get about 3 periods of bloom from them, but they don't bloom in the real heat of summer. Twice in spring/early summer, then again in fall when it cools a bit. If you want some seeds, I'll save some for you.

Love to peek in at other peoples gardens. It makes my purchases seem modest by comparison. It looks like you received some nice daylilies from Dick. Next year you can show us how they do in your own garden.........Maryl

Brad and Sherry-WDS looks better this year with a darker edge showing-a more distinctive look this year. Kay, you would pick Ramming Speed! And to be fair to it, it has been huge this year with fewer splotches but that is not the norm! And wouldn’t you know, Maryott sent it as a gift plant twice!!! And who knows, we may convert you to liking yellow after all!! Alex, Trahlyta has a nice look, doesn’t it? I got it because of pictures shown on this forum. Nancy, that does surprise me about Get Jiggy. I have two clumps of it and it always blooms well-just rarely shows any pattern. It is a pretty flower. Vanilla Gorilla arrived last fall. You may get scapes on yours-almost all of those I received from Laura this spring have one or more scapes yet to bloom.
