OOOh, that is exciting!! You got a lot done! Are you planting the irises and daylilies in any particular fashion (by color, etc.) or in a daylily bed?

I wish! I have a plan every time I order anything but usually end up just throwing it together wherever there is room and time. In other words, I have a garden (plan) but at this time I have only a yard with plants growing in it.....:(. I'll be moving everything anyway at some point so for now I am just enjoying the time I am here. :) Most of my daylilies and irises are in the front in new beds. A few will be moved in the spring from the back 40. I'd love to say that I am moving them to my new farm *crossing fingers and toes*. I'll be sure to share my progress! :)

Another successful day of planting! Jack helped by making paw shaped holes for my bulbs and chasing squirrels. :)

Flannel jammies and tea where are you at, in Canada?It sounds cold.its 7 here right now, got in upper 80'shere today. rather warm,snd zi think it is suppose to stay this way the rest of the week.your pot gheto is getting smaller and mine gets a little bigger st times,zi see some thats planted and looking bad, like i might lose it,I dig it up and pot it, then it gets pretty again., looks like you have really put in some long days and alot ofhard work, too

Yep, my little corner of Canada has had a beautiful warm fall so far but it is still northern Canada. We are at 50F at 9:30 pm. I think it got up to 59F today but rain tomorrow or dare I say s**w overnight......everything is going dormant now except for the few annuals that bloom into the frost.

I don't know how many of the pots will be spending winter in The Chateau La Garage but probably some since I will run out of garden space I think. I could always fill the little veggie garden but then I'd forfeit my summer veggies. :( I'm actually looking forward to the winter this year. I think I have reached my limit for what I can do here without tearing the house down and starting over. It's almost time.

I honestly don't know how you manage to get that much done in each day. Congrats! If I did what you did on Monday, I wouldn't be able to move on Tuesday, much less put in another ton of work. I am glad your garden is coming together. Sure is going to be stunning in bloom.

Wow!!! Those have been great gardening days for you!!! That should all look stunning, especially with all the bulbs too!!

Ohhhhhh! I'm payin' for it today! Didn't plant much if anything last fall as I was out of commission. My daughter planted my irises and that was it! What a difference 2 years has made! Now I want a maid, cook, and a gardener! And I still have MANY to put in! And my lilies haven't arrived yet cause they were on backorder. Maybe it would be easier to cover the yard with plastic?

I sure hope to have a yard filled with bloom next year but I won't hold my breath. Most of them are babies afterall.....

Rained off and on today so I spent most of it mopping the floors. 5 shelties make many muddy paw prints! This time of year I envy you GW's who live in warmer zones. But I did get some more Halloweeny stuff done! :) Tomorrow I will be bathing dogs! :#

northern canada wow i know it must get very very cold there snd a lot of snow, too. I see I made a bad mistake in my previous reply, when I meant the temp was 71 at that time,and not 7., I use to live in a cold zone too msny years ago, but got out of that as soon as I was grown, i hate cold weather as much as I do hot weather too, like we had here this summer, with most days at 100 plus.

I knew what you meant Jean. Lol. We forecast in Celcius here in Canada but growing up, it was Fahrenheit and I still convert all the time. :)

I would never survive in your temps, since I am part polar bear and the other part snowman. Not crazy about the cold but I really like the seasonal changes. :)
