I had too many photos so I had to do a part two to get them all in. It was just too pretty to not snap away!

These are glorious! I love that your DH meditates! Does he do yoga, too?

The seventh one down...years ago, I ordered a print from a catalog (we were living overseas) very similar to this (!!) and had it framed as I so missed fall colors.

What beauty you live in and/or are able to visit...spectacular!

Hmmmm. The Hummers nest in the American Red Cedar and in the quince. The Downy WPs and the Flickers nest in two huge Weeping Willows. The White-breasted Nuthatch and Creepers are in the Willow and an ancient pear tree. My dear little Black-capped Chickadees are in a natural cavity in a cluster of old crabapple trees. The Common Grackles made a nest in the Blue Atlas Cedar and a crabapple tree in the front yard. The Starlings nest in an old bird house my father made many years ago. The Robins nest in the bend of the gutter under the eaves of the house at the corner next to our bedroom. Red-Winged Blackbirds are off in a part of the garden we have not mowed on purpose. The House Wren was in a nest box in the Tri-coloured Beech tree. The Carolina Wrens nested in the holly bush in the front yard under the kitchen window, also in a nest box (or two in the back), under an over turned bucket on the patio and under a flower pot near the compost pile. We have 20-25 nest boxes of many varieties hanging everywhere too. White crowned Sparrows are in the honeysuckle vines. My little House Sparrows are in several of the nest boxes. The Cedar Waxwings are nesting in a Blue Spruce in the front yard. The Song Sparrows, Chipping Sparrows and Vespers Sparrows are in the Blue Spruce trees, Passionflower vines, clematis and honeysuckle vines. Chimney Swifts (2 nests) in our two chimneys. The House Finch and Purple Finch are in the wisteria and magnolia tree. The Goldfinch usually make their nests in the Red Bud tree and Willows. The Baltimore Orioles are in the Willows and Silver Maple Trees. The Mourning Doves put three sticks together in the American Red Cedar and called it a nest. LOL! The Blue Jay is in the Cottonwood tree and the Cardinals are in the Blue Atlas Cedar. The other guys ... the Turkey Vultures, the Herons, Common Mergansers, Mallards, Ring-billed Gulls, Egrets, Crows and Screech Owls are guests but not nesting on our property. LOL! They DO need to put a sign out. Caution Baby on Board! LOL! :-)

Oh Jodi...quit that! LOL!!! I'm the craziest hippie gardener is the truth. Sometimes I wonder why am I doing all of these. 200 plus of pots of ammies WILL give you flowers almost all year round in this zone. Most of the ones in the group shot are just my ammies from last season coming back from their winter dormancy (not forced). Each variety has their own time table on when to bloom. Some bloom earlier, some later. Your collection will be doing the same next season if you let them go dormant this coming winter. For now, just keep on taking very good care of them as you are. Remember the "After Bloom Care"...What you provide them now will greatly affect their performance next season. I suggest you let them have what's best for them...sunlight. Blanca...Keep up the good work specially with the "little ones". Most probably they might not bloom again this season. It is their growing/leafing out season right now. here in my zone anyway. Provide them with all the caring they need for they will sleep early (specially the Sonatinis), earlier than the large flowered ones. Remember my email to you? Elizabeth...Pink Star is a darling. It only gives out 4 flowers/scape but as I mentioned, it can flower 3 times/year. I just got in some bulbs from RC and in fact had another Pink Star included in it. It is a "pretty in person" variety...lol! Striped Panther...What could I say? Intriguing??? Noid Sonatini shall be named "Vanessa" for now. That's until the Dutch growers register it. Such a beauty deserves a name. There were 3 bulbs of this that came in the first shipment. Raydio and Soultan got one each. I will try to start a thread on the Dutch sonatinis. Our bloomer for today, Aphrodite. After blooming last Fall before it was put to rest, still gives out 2 scapes with huge flowers as it wakes up this season. Hi everyone, Just wanted to pop in and say thank you for your comments. I just love the way everyone is so supportive & kind here. What a fun place to come every day! I am glad you enjoyed the scenery. Those scenes are just a short trip away. Down my road there are plenty of mountain vistas that I see every day when I take my walk so I will have to take some pics to share when the leaves turn. It is quite spectacular in the fall. Zeus is quite adept at catching bugs with those big paws. He will jump up and clap his 'hands' together to catch moths in mid-air. He actually has seven toes but in pics you only see 6 because the 7th toe is so tiny. The bug stings are still itching and I tried everything suggested. I guess I will have to endure it a little longer. I almost hate the itching more than the stinging. DH sprayed inside the yellow jacket nest and used up 2 cans of spray just to kill them all. When he started spraying, hundreds started flying out so it was a BIG nest. Celeste

OH MY GOODNESS:What some beautiful scenery pictures.I just love them all, especially the ones with the streams and big rocks and little waterfalls.I have been scrolling up and down for a good half hour looking at them and no doubt will be coming back to them over and over to take in the beauty.Your reblooming daylily is beautiful, also,and I love the PUmpkin people. Oooooh sooooo pretty again. I love Irish Hope. Mine hasn't bloomed in a while. Love all beautiful scenes and now it makes me wanna hit the mountains this weekend instead of the beach. lol!! Guess I can go check out the mountains next week after our halloween party. Thanks again for sharing and I am always ready to see more pics if you are willing to take the time to post them. Hope all are doing well. Judy

l love the pretty blooms.IRISH HOPE is gorgeous. and the golden fern and hostas.zmy hosta's are still green, at least one of them are. wow, i Love these photo's, of the mountains and lakes snd them gorgeous trees. just beautiful. I am interested in seeing any and all of your photos. They are so beautiful, and thank you for taking the time to snap photos and posting them for us to see,ok, now I am ready for part three now :))

Thanks for sharing the photos. I reminds me of a trip we took to the western states and got the privilege of seeing the aspens in their glory.

We don't get to see much fall color here in southeast Texas. About the only things that are colorful in this area are sumac and Chinese Tallow.

I think the Northern states have much more color than around our are. We used to go home to Michigan during the color..so beautiful. ( Northern Mi.) It seems our trees go from green to brown. Anyway, I love the beautiful landscape photo's.. Also the Prairie Sun Rudbeckia.. Ellie

What can I say that hasn't already been said? I just so enjoy your pics Celeste! And the fall is my favorite time of year too. Sad to see the flowers go but then I get all excited to see them come back again in spring. Kinda like the circus or the fair coming to town! Or Christmas all over again! I just love the changing seasons! Always something to look forward to! :) Thank you for sharing!

Once again, THANK YOU to all of you who were kind enough to post your comments. I feel like there is less and less for all of us to share this time of year, so I try to find things to post so we can all keep talking... I miss all the daily sharing of pictures and conversation.

gonegardening...Yes, DH does yoga as well. He was really enjoying his quiet time there by the lake, it was so serene.
Kay, Jean & Judy... Yes, Irish Hope is very beautiful but it is probably on it's last season here. It barely survives my winters and is a magnet for japanese beetles. I hate to see it go, but I rarely see a bloom without beetle damage. I hate shovelpruning something so pretty!
Cindy, I thought the same thing, that the red leaf in the golden ferns was kinda neat. Sometimes simple things make good subjects.
CTC, the Prairie Sun rudbeckias re-seed themselves each year. I like the green centers too, because it sets it apart from other rudbeckias.
Linda, Rita, Ellie, Ginny, Nancy...thank you! Fall is my most favorite season but it is also the shortest. If only I could swap it around with winter, and make Fall the longest...LOL.

Just beautiful photos! Worthy of being framed & put on a wall. I really need to get DH out for a drive to see the foliage, although it won't be at peak for another week or so here.

I saw Part I and so thought to comment here on Part II. Really nice pics. Love the blooms and the scenery. Looks alot like it is here in Upstate NY with the fall foliage.

I guess you can understand my ignorance, but I didn't know hostas and ferns turned gold like that. How amazing! You have a real yellow thing goin' on, Celeste. Very beautiful. Your scenery is magnificent. Of course, if you've got 'em, post 'em! Thanks for sharing.
