Comments (18)I'm interested in a flat rate box, if you have any left. I have a couple of different variety of hosta--one is creme and green the other is a large blue variety. I don't have the names--they were both given to me by friends/neighbors. However, they aren't up yet. I'll email you directly and see if we can arrange something....See Morelily of the valley under lilacs: dare I?
Comments (10)Just came across this again and figured I'd report back in case anyone's interested. The LOTV are happy as little clams under the lilacs, which - as predicted - couldn't care less. I've also planted lots of daffodils and orange ditch lilies, which I hate anyplace but along a stone wall or fence along the road. The whole thing looks good and is uncomplicated. Now if the lilacs would just get going and fill in (they're being very good sports and trying), I wouldn't have to mow the gaps between them....See MoreHAVE: Lily of the Valley

Comments (8)yeah right.. like you will win that battle.. lol ... i have done that a couple times.. took me a few years to eradicate them all ... the hard ones being the ones coming up in the middle of a clump ... IF IT WERE ME >>>>> i would spray with round up ...wait a week ... spray again ... and then git to digging ... nothing adverse to hosta .... i would prepare a nice 2 foot hole... and remove all the soil .... and sieve it back into the hole .... going through every particle of soil looking for the dreaded LOV ... boy.. what an acronym for an invasive weed ... prepare the planting holes.. plant the hosta.. then get to work on the weed ... if you are considering roundup... or the generic credit i prefer... i can give further instruction regarding safe spraying ... good luck ken...See Morepaul_in_mn
