I don't think you'll get a quick easy bloomer from nurseries or big bix stores (like Home Depot). Hoyas, especially the ones you can easily find, can take quite some time to bloom (usually anywhere from 2 years to 10 years). But Hoya Lacunosa is known as a very fragrant and wonderfully scented hoya that you can easily find (and it does bloom easily for some). It is an Exotic Angel plant (sold in those terra cotta colored hanging baskets), and they mislabel their hoyas....Lacunosa goes by the name 'Hoya Green Leaf' or 'Hoya Mini Wax Leaf'. They have cute little white blooms.

There are many easy and fast bloomers (e.g., Multiflora, Fungii, Heuschkeliana, Obscura), but these are not as easily found...you'll have to most likely find those at online stores.

Since you keep your plants outside for the summer, that'll help hoyas bloom. Also they like to be kept potbound.

I'm relatively new at hoya growing, so see what others have to say that have more experience with certain hoyas.

My absolute favorite for fragrance (so far...) is pubicalyx 'Splash.' Mine is blooming now in the GH (which is off my kitchen...) and it fills the kitchen with it's fragrance at night. I just love it! Mine took quite a few years to bloom, but I think with the right care and the help of Eleanor's VF-11, you could probably get a rooted cutting to bloom within a couple years.

For a really quick bloomer, I'd get tsangii (DS-70), but I detect no fragrance at all with this one, so it's purely a visual one for me.

I've also heard that Lacunosa is a good one for fragrance and repeat flowerings. I wish mine knew that and would get on with it!!

Just to add to Denise's comments, my Publicalyx cv Pink Silver is a year old now, last april it only had four big leaves. A year later, it's filled its pot and I've fed it a bit of fertilizer and it's got some sunshine, and voila:

Can't wait for it to flower! Woohoo!

I agree that for the 'quickest satisfaction' of blooms/scent and ease, you need H. lacunosa!
Lot's of HD's and Lowes near you if you're in SE/WI, so I'm thinking if you visit a few of them you just might find one.
Look for the labels that gabro14 mentioned above.

I will check out Home Depot to see if there are any H. lacunosa. (I'm in Madison where, very sadly, there aren't any Lowes...yet.)

Where did y'all order your publicalyx? Those are gorgeous leaves!! And the flowers are perfect too. I'm willing to do some mail order if necessary.
