Fred, were they EA plants or can you tell who the supplier is? I have never seen hoya at walmart and I will look closer now.

fred grow...What a Find!! The most our Walmarts have to offer are philo's and pothos...and you're lucky to find a live one! What state is your Walmart in??? I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for luck to strike our store! Congrats!!

They were NOT EA plants! They were in 4" square pots and they were lush and full and gorgeous! They totally covered their little bamboo loops and were in prime condition. The soil was moist but well drained and no bird poop on them! Truthfully I picked one up and examined it closely but didn"t make it a point to remember the suppliers name. I was so crushed they were all KQ I couldn't get past that. I'll go back Monday and get the details. This was the Walmart in Dexter, Missouri BTW. They were just putting their stuff out and only had 1/4 of their total area stocked. Maybe I'll go back and find a dozen curtsii! I didn't even pay any attention to their price ( I have KQ ) but I bet they're CHEAP! If they don't turn up for yall locally I will be happy to buy and ship. I was almost tempted to get one for myself.

Sometimes you can find some real deals. I found a 10 inch stuffed full gorgeous hanging pot of Hoya "Shooting Stars" at Home Depot last season for $9.99. Aparently it was the only one they ever got...never seen it before or since.

I went back last night. The plants are labeled "Tricolor" and are fron FGH Inc. of Carthage, Missouri. There were no other varities and I don't know the price. There was just a barcode and it was late at night, no one around to ask. I would have to consult a map to even know where Carthage Mo. is. Probably a long way from here as I am almost in Arkansas. Its a teepee BTW, not a hoop!

fred grow...Is the Krinkle Queen the same as a Hindu Rope? I was trying to e-mail you on your generous offer of getting these plants at Walmart. I feel akward asking but I REALLY would like this plant and figured I might as well ask. Do you know if the KQ is still available at Walmart? If so, would you please e-mail me? Thanks!

If I might answer, I don't think there's a Krinkle Queen; it's KRIMSON Queen or Krimson Princess (both varieg. forms of Carnosa), K Queen has white on the (outer) leaf edges (& the leaves are sometimes cupped, very 3-D looking), K Princess has white on the inner (middle) portion of the leaves.

I've only seen Hindu Rope called either that or even Indian Rope, its botanical name is H. Compacta.

I did get the VF-11 you sent, thx so VERY much, so kind & generous of you! 2 days later, I ALSO got my greenhouse order, since they backordered the gallon, they sent me comparable amounts of 8 & 16 oz. bottles, so now I'm positively swimming in the stuff!

I really think you may have to let me give you a couple of Hoya cuttings for your kindness. Pls. remind me which Hoyas you already have & I'll know better what to send.
