Poorly performing daylilies?

Nancy

I'm sure it depends on location to an extent, but maybe there are some that will croak at the blink of an eye? And not necessarily just delicate ones, but those that consistently have splotchy flowers, I DON'T like splotchy flowers. Occasionally I've seen photos in catalogs of daylilies with blotchy flowers, I assume if they are showing their best, this would be one I should avoid. Color might be something in the eye of the beholder, as some people don't seem to like Always Afternoon, but I think mine is beautiful. But if they don't hold their color in sunlight well at all, I would like to know. I have already bought/swapped for a lot of daylilies, but before I get more I would like to know which ones to avoid. I'm sure this has been done before, but I didn't find anything on a search.
