Hoya Macrophylla Variegated
Comments (3)Thanks much and yes they do get out of control fast but the red under my light unit is lovely on the young leaves. I hesitate to taste the stuff as I felt I had to feed with a systemic to keep the bugs off the drips. ~Mary...See MoreVariegated macrophylla
Comments (15)This is a really cool hoya!!! Depending on the amount of light it's grown in the leaves can range from being just white and green to having a fair amount of yellow in them and having little to no red border to having a decent sized border. I have had some leaves on my plant to be almost half yellow but when moved back into lower light as it was in the gh this past winter they seem to loose the yellow and go back to being just green and white. The only reason I grow this hoya is for it's foliage,in my opinion the flowers leave much to be desired...See MoreHoya variegated macrophylla
Comments (3)Jan I just love this species for the leaves but the leaves tend to steal the show. I think that if the flowers were more numerous and more densely arranged they would be more appealing but then again it looks like there are more buds developing behind the flowers so the bloom time might be longer. The scent sounds nice, something different but certainly not unpleasant, is it a faint scent? My Hoya polystachya is in the process of maturing a bunch of new leaves and although I look forward to seeing my plant mature and bloom I know that the leaves are definitely the reason I got this species. Comments (7)I am building a citrus collection and looking for some of the regular types of varieties, and some that are not often seen. I primarily like the variegated for their looks, and excited to see a pink lemon. These are part house plant and part outside plants so I'm not opposed to them staying small. If anyone knows where to buy one or where to get budwood please let me know. I'm always looking to add to my collection. I'm also working on making one tree with as many different varieties as I can get on it....See Morepuglvr1
