Lakeside Cindy Cee. I got this on UK's recommendation. It's still new, but a great plant.

Hope this one looks like the pictures on the Library some day.

Early in the season before a hail storm ripped some of the leaves

The next two were new late in the season last year

One of my favorites, love the three color combo

I was a little dissapointed in the size of this one when I got it early last year but it put up a lot of new growth and I am looking for ward to seeing it this year.

Can't wait to see this one grow

This one has been a slow grower but hopefully will get going this year.

McTavish says: "My hostas should be on roller skates." Not a bad idea, ladybug. I have a lot of big terracotta and poly containers which might be the best solution to planting my collection for their first year. Exploring a suitable habitat by moving pots will be less strenuous on the root systems and on me. And add some wheels for the move? good idea.

A few to add Dancing Stars, a sport of Dancing in the Rain - 1st year Daybreak - its two neighboring hosta were moved so hopefully Daybreak starts to stretch out a bit, keeps yellow pretty well for me Delta Dawn, has some Breeder's Choice and Aztec Treasure in it - 3rd year, last summer it started to look stronger, love the colors Devon Green, a Halcyon sport - third year, nice green, veins attractive Diana Remembered, a sport of Seventh Heaven - third year Diva, an Elatior seedling - 2nd year, can't wait for this to fillout Paul

I keep studying mctavish's pics to learn how to photograph hostas in a way that seems truly exceptional. What I really like is how she frames her subject. There is more here than just a hosta plant; it is a hosta in a beautiful garden, with companion plants carefully chosen, and a dash of color here and there. Take a look at Silk Kimono above. I wanted that plant as soon as I looked at this pic. Yet what grabs me, I think, is the pink astilbe, and - an added bonus - the little hands reaching out of the soil. McT's gardens are works of art. Lovely Lakesides. My question is does Lakeside April Snow ever fill in? I like the color but mine was in it's 5th year last summer and was still very open.

sshoop1 Good Luck on the Lk. Black Satin. I've had mine for 9 years. For the first several years it was in heavy shade because I'd read that that would help it to be darker. Finally I dug it up and found a hard knot in the center with three sets (of 2) eyes. It's now in three pieces in three different places. The largest and best looks like your plant.
