Recent blooms......(Part 1).....pix

Seems like most everyone's bloom season has really slowed down so for those having "bloom withdrawal" I'm going to post several threads with some of my most recent blooms. Hope you enjoy looking. Don't forget to look at the others also. :)

Beginning with a few seedlings reblooms, nothing really special, but hey, at least they're blooming!! :)

This one was sent to me along with another, by a friend.

I've had this one for a long time, crossed it back when I wasn't interested in keeping up with names, etc. :)

Now for a couple of Munsons that just keep going and going.

OK, enough for this thread. Don't want to bog down those using dial up, you know. ;o)

Pictures, hurray!! You are fortunate to have rebloom. As for your seedlings, I really love number three with that rich nutmeg color. This one just appeals to me. Out of your named ones. PANAMA SCARLETT is a winner for me. Love, love, love that rich harlotts lipstick red color.

thank you for the pretties. I especially love the Panama Scarlet. I don't believe I've ever seen it before, and it really appeals to me. Looks like velvet.

Beautiful, as ever, Joyce! There are always a few plants you have that I want! Is the first Passiflora 'Lady Margaret'? The Egret flower is neat! I thought your Viola was a V. koreana, but I see 'Syletta' is a cultivar. Love the look of that one too! I think my Acidanthera bloomed in March or April. Is it normal for yours to bloom at this time? Hope you had a nice vacation! ~Rosemarie

Karen, you're right that first picture is Emperor of China. I try to have the old fashioned mums in each part of my gardens since fall is so beautiful here. Another plant that I like to have in all my gardens is Tagetes lemmonii. You don't really notice them too much until they bloom in November-December. They have buds but have not started to bloom yet. Tagetes lucida just started to bloom last week. John, I bought the leycesteria at BB's. I didn't know they were difficult. Now you have me worried. I grew it in a pot its first season and planted it out that fall. It came back on old stock but the stems that came up fresh from the ground were much nicer looking and I ended up cutting out the old branches. It tickles me enormously that I am making YOU jealous, teehee. Tammy thanks for the rudbeckia. You can decide what to trade it for. That muhly I think is called Pink Flamingo. We have it at BB's and it looks just like Shari's. Shari is the foliage on it flatter and more blue-green or gray than the regular pink muhly? Plant Delights lists it as muhlenbergia without a species name. I can't remember if we have a species name on our tag. I will have to check tommorrow. Adele

Morning Breaks Eternal is among my new favorites, especially considering these flowers are its ffo's. I didn't expect Lemon Fringed Pastel would surprise me with lots of teeth, which is such a good thing. Stippled Statement doesn't pretend to be pretty. But, I agree, it looks so cool it's lovable. A big surprise is Phil Reilly's Hawaiian Passport. It is bigger than the 5.5" flower size. What is nice to look forward to is how Phil has described this plant to be a clumper. Last year, I got it as a single fan with a little nub growth which I broke while planting. It is now 3 fans with 2 scapes and a rebloom scape coming. Very happy with Hawaiian Passport. Crazy Ivan is a plant I do enjoy. It increases very well and for those who like to dab, super fertile. It is also the among the first plants to call the attention of non daylily friends. Jean and halliecat, thanks so much for the kind compliments. I don't remember seeing Moment To Treasure bloom like that before and I've had it 4 years. It stopped me in my tracks this morning. Primal Scream has always been a favorite around here. I think I'm really going to like Mountains Bow Down. It's a little short right now, but it just got here a few weeks ago. Michelle

Very pretty Jan, wish my daylilies would rebloom. This is their first year in the ground so I hope that is the reason for not reblooming or it's to hot, dry and windy?

Seems like I no more get everything watered and the ground is bone dry again, even thing's that are mulched.

I see some with mulch around the daylilies but have read on some other post not to mulch them?

Rita...I am fortunate to still have so much rebloom. I even saw some new scapes shooting up today. :)

Kay....lots of people love PS...it's a real beauty and doesn't know when to stop blooming either! Another plus in it's favor.

Alberta....you'll be very pleased with those I'm sure. Gene sends wonderful plants. I've got several Munsons coming from him this fall.

Linda...thanks, glad you like them. That seedling is kind of different, I guess. :)

Tom...thank you, and as long as I'm getting blooms I'll post photos. Glad you find that strange little seedling interesting.

njmomma...LOL...I know, but there are some that still have it. Someone on here recently requested that we post fewer photos on each thread due to them having dial up. CPL is gorgeous in person. Photos just don't do it justice.

Barb...I usually get some rebloom, but this year it's been crazy. Never had so many rebloom before and I'm still finding new scapes almost daily.
