Can someone ID this plant/herb please?

My DH brought me a tray of 24 herbs this past spring, and some didnt have id tags. The one that is stumping me is shown below. It is probably common, but I havent been able to find a photo to compare it with. The taste is rather lavender-y.. but it didnt grow up to look like any lavender I have seen. Tiny clusters of white flowers with fine reddish stringy filaments?

Can you pull the filaments off the plant? To me it looks as if you have an infestation of dodder on another plant.(Which I can't identify - possibly a sage?)

Thanks for your response, flora. I think you may be right... I have never heard of dodder, but after googling it, it appears to be what is on this plant. I am assuming the white flowers are part of the dodder, not the herb in question?
If this is what is on the plant, it is the only plant in my garden that is infested with the weed. I will try tomorrow to pull it off. That still leaves me with the question of what the host plant/herb is... but there are no other flowers on it that might help to identify what it is.. only the tiny white clusters that appear to be attached to those red filaments. I wish I could place the taste/scent, but I cant. Just that is seems more something that would be used in aromatherapy, not in foods.

That's pretty. I'd be quite happy to have mine grow into something like that. By "toss them", I assumed it meant that they won't last outside in my zone- Northern NJ? I don't toss anyway. I have a Yucca (so id'd on the tropicals forum today) that was planted 2 seasons ago. Couldn't take inside, so I just overwintered. It didn't come back last year, and now- surprise- it lives! I was so happy to see it, and didn't believe it could be the Yucca, but it sure does look like it. I'll plant them and we'll see what happens. Thanks, all.Here's the possible Yucca:

Smell? Flavor, if you've tasted a leaf? Savory has a nice spicy aroma, and flavor. It does have the look of savory, though my winter savory grows much bushier than that. I've never had much luck with summer savory, and what I've grown hasn't been that full growth--the leaves are much more spaced out. But you would have planted annual summer savory anyway and I would assume known what it was.
