Some Blooms You've Seen Before

Not much blooming around here. Only way to get any pictures is to shoot ones posted before.

CARNIVAL IN BRAZIL. I think this is the last flower and too pretty to pass up.

LOAVES AND FISHES had its second flower open today.

ELEMENT OF SURPRISE is almost done with its rebloom scape up on the daylily plateau.

STRAWBERRY CANDY has had a long run but just about done now also.

ROGUE looks good but just about done. Full of little tiny ants for some reason.

CIRCULAR THINKING is difficult to get a good picture of. It has such pale delicate coloring and picture taking in the sun washes it out so that you can't truely appreciate it.

SUMMER RE-RUN has been blooming on a rebloom scape. I had a shot of it it the rain last time I posted it but today in the sun, it brings out all the warm colors in there.

This grouping of roses and hummingbird mint is providing the color in the front yard for now.

At least your last blooms are taking you out in style! Just beautiful as always. Element of Surprise and Cicular Thinking grab my eye from this post, although they are all wonderful.

Hey, I for one sure don't mind seeing all your beautiful dl's again and if you post new photos of them tomorrow, I'll enjoy them just as much. :) Never tire of seeing such lovely dl's.
The one that really stands out for me in this group is Carnival In Brazil. I've seen that one on the LA a few times and bid on it too, but haven't been lucky enough to win it as yet. :)
Thanks for sharing your dl's and your rose garden shot is lovely too.

I actually like to see flowers repeated myself so that I can see if they are consistant. But some here I take lots of pictures of because they are favorites and/or because they are easy to get to. Others are in more difficult spots for pictures and most often get passed by. Yes, I can easily see them but not as easily get close enough or at the correct angle for a good picture. RICH IN MERCY does very well and still a nice color at the end of a hot day. Not as deep as in the morning but never ugly washed out either. And in this heat everything needs to be taken in the morning as it is just too hot during the day and many daylilies do melt or fade.

cocomac20: In regards to the viking stuff... that hood was sent to me without the proper fitting filter inserts, and no railing to even place the inserts on. I tried and tried and tried to have the company fix the issue and send me new inserts. Eventually they did send some, but once again they weren't able to be installed due to there being no railing, and even if there was a railing they were the wrong size. At some point they just stopped responding to my requests. I had to have my lawyer draft a letterhead document threatening to sue them if they didn't fix the issue. Only after that they sent a tech out who measured the space and was able to install the proper items. The customer service is horrendous, especially considering how much I spent on their product. Also, the vent fan had an issue with a clicking sound on the vent top opening and hitting the side walls of the shaft (which I was told to place some weather stripping on to stop), but seriously why couldn't they have done that at the factory? Lastly, the time controller on it has just simply stopped operating, I didn't use it very often anyway since it was kind of confusing to begin with, but it's just one more item that makes me sour of their products. Well, we had rain overnight and we had a thundershower today so maybe all this rain will push some rebloom scapes.

Tom, I would have thought that you still had some blooming at least here and there. How about rebloom? Do you get any? I am not sure if you have ones that might rebloom and I know it has been dry for you which is death to rebloom.

Rogue is my favorite of this group. I love that bloom form, and I'm a sucker for white midribs. I have tiny ants in some of my flowers, too. As long as they stay in the garden and not in my house, that's O.K. with me.

I have never heard of Hummingbird Mint before. The closest thing I have (in the same Genus) is Anis Hyssop. I love the licorice smell of the leaves. But I will have to move it soon, to a sunnier location, because it's slowly dying near the woods where there's too much shade. I'll have to do some research on Hummingbird Mint, and maybe add it somewhere. I love those late season bloomers.

Did you ever count how many flowering plants you have?
My DH keeps asking me that, and I wouldn't have a clue, unless I got out all my lists and counted.

I only have the tiny ants in a very few flowers. Have not yet figgured out why.

I get my Hummingbird mints at High Country Gardens

They have the besat selection and many that they have introduced themselves. Hyssop is a type of Agastache just as Hummingbird Mint is a type of Agastache but they are very different from each other in leaves and flowers. I love the Hummingbirds Mints because once they start they just keep blooming till frost. Of course, they attract hummingbirds, another reason to like them :-))
