This is one of my front beds with Pandora's Box and NOID I call Cheddar.

INDIAN GIVER won best clump today.

SWEET SUGAR CANDY is supposed to be a late bloomer but it's new so I hope it will bloom later next year.

Very nice gardenbed with the daylilies and other flowers. My favorite of the batch here is OUTRAGEOUS because of the wonderful hot color. SWEET SUGAR CANDY has been in my garden for afew years. Its about ML, not particularly late and is blooming now here. Just started.

LOL, the purple heart of winter sowing! Hi all, my first year WSing and no battle scars yet. I used my Swiss Army knife to cut up the milk jugs - haven't tried thicker containers yet though. The awl on the Swiss Army knife works excellent for punching hoes in the bottom. An awl is normally used for punching small holes in leather or wood and is very sharp. It slid through the bottom of milk jugs like butter! Also used the small knife blade to cut the flaps which also cut very easily and safely. Seems simpler than heated knives and soldering tools? This pic shows the Awl that comes with the knife. I slid it in and gave a little twist to open the hole a little. It was very quick and easy, and quite easy to control.

Geez, roses are just flowering shrubs in the general sceame of things. Not to mean all roses are shrub types verus whatever types, its just that a rose is a flowering shrub type plant. They had better preform or they are outta here. Weak growers, outta here, need extra winter care, outta here, cane dieback, outta here, stingy with the blooms, outta here, no repeat, outta here, too floppy and will not stay in bounds, outta here. You get the idea. I know what I like and I plant what should work with what I had in mind. Sometimes I goof and out that rose goes. Sometimes there is nothing really wrong with it, I just don't like it, again outta here. I haven't had to get rid of much but if it displeased me, I do replace it with something better. There are sooooo many great roses that its easy for me to find what I want.

Jan, I just love all your clump shots, they are gorgeous looking. I couldn't even pick a favorite after looking at all of them several times. When I first saw your NOID clump, I was so excited because I really thought that it was the same as one of my NOID's. But my photo shows it is more pink. Yours appears to be in the shade, so am not sure if that has anything to do with it. I will have to watch to see if mine really is as pink as in my picture. Mine gets only about 18" and doesn't rebloom. It doesn't even have scapes on it yet. Probably not the same. Please post more of your fabulous clump shots! Vickie 5 years as a NOID:(

What a beautiful mixed bed. The daylilies go very well with these companions! Autumn Wood is my favorite daylily of these. Mine hasn't done well this year. The neighbor's evergreen shades it too much now. I'll need to move it this fall. Debra

Love the bed shot and Outrageous. I think I need to get that one. I have Sweet Sugar Candy and it hasn't started blooming yet this year. It's usually a week or two after peak here. I really like it.

Love your Sweet Sugar Candy. Your shot of the whole bed is so pretty. My favorite is Indian Giver, its one I have wanted for several years but haven't gotten it yet. Judy

Sweet Sugar Candy does bloom late for me. That's a beautiful grouping! I like the one you call Cheddar.
