Well, of course, I love all five of them. Bright and BeautifuL! I literally cannot choose. Such Bright beautiful reds!

Christine- It's your choice of favorites and if others have agreed with you then thats great. They are really pretty ones and Tennessee Afterglow looked especially great today. maryl- Man Of Sorrows is a fabulous daylily, never seems to have a bad day and always beautiful. wren- I have just about every color daylily that they come in. I love lots of colors and would never be happy with just pastels. The purples and reds and oranges and yellows and so on are just so full of color. I love color that just jumps at you. Edward- I was looking for a great yellow when I was buying daylilies for that new bed in spring 2010. Well, actually bought in 2009 for spring 2010. Lunar Empire was the very best that I found. Nancy- Levi Davis is the strangest color I have ever seen in a daylily. I would no idea what to call it. But I love the color. Mabeline Eyes has days when it looks really great and other days when it doesn't look like much. Prior flowers were not impressive but today it really looked good. So today I took its picture.

Some more beauties...YAY! These are all looking wonderful and like they don't mind the heat one bit. The first one, Trial by Fire is perfect for today...hot and sizzling! Lotus Position is gorgeous and my favorite today. I want that one so bad! It has been on my wish list ever since I started the daylily craze. Tennessee Afterglow was gorgeous before and it's gorgeous again...can that one ever take a bad picture? I like them all. What an exciting time of year! Celeste

Rita, I live in Northeast Texas in the country, so our temps are usually fairly moderate, even in the summer, but not this year. We will probably not water some of the day lilies--the ones we don't really care for, because we are afraid our water well might run out. It's a big problem and may cause us to have a new well dug next year. I don't mind losing plants I don't like, but we are going to lose others, too, if we don't get some rain soon. There appears to be little chance of that. Next year we may be starting all over again, so I'll be looking for daylilies that can take the heat. I love all your bright colored ones, but they will probably burn out here, as we can't provide much in the way of shade. Never mind, just keep posting so I can appreciate vicariously yours, and everyone else's beautiful, bright flowers. Avedon

Rita, You still have some pretty blooms. I like August Flame and I especially like A Friend to All. Mary Janes are always pretty, your Mom's Cinnamon rolls is so much darker than mine it looks like my Oranges for Christmas. I have really enjoyed hers this year, and Mom's cinnamon Rolls has just had its last bloom on the rebloom scape which was really good. kay

Okay, Rita, I put on the sunglasses so I could see these better. They are Hot!!! I can only wonder what we will be seeing tomorrow. Right now, I need to look at these some more as they are so vivid, and really brighten my day. Avedon

I was thinking of saying there were lots of reds and orange. But then I figgured I didn't need to say it as people would just see it for themselves.

I have posted August Sunset before but lately it is blooming paler so it probably looks different. It is one of my earlier late bloomers. I have it back there along with my other late blooming intros by Dale Thomas although this one is a Kendig intro.

I really like that big eye pattern on Bold Witness myself. Somehow it always reminds me of an old fashioned daylily and seems like it should be older, not a new intro. But it is new, a Phil Korth intro.

WOW!!!! This is bright day.Love that AUGUST SUNSET.almost need some sun shades to view these.Yjeu are all gorgeous,and I love CHICAGO APACHE.,Dang it, since I looked at the first one,I have the sneeze's again.Some times I start sneezing and when I do its a 30 minute thing,until my chesat, ribs and back hurts so bad,and feels like its ripped some thing out.Allergies I guess.

Jean- Yes I realised after I posted these pictures that it sure was a batch of hot colors. I do love the hot colored daylilies. Hope your sneezing fit is gone now.
