Creeping Fig or Less invasive Ivy or Neither?

heavenscent

I need to cover about 200 feet of old ugly wood fence that is alongside my driveway. The 2 foot wide planting area is enveloped with large tree roots so tall growing shrubs are out of question. The area is northern exposure in various degrees of shade with a canopy of mature oaks and pecans. I fell in love with the look of the creeping fig while in Charleston and I actually like Ivy as well, but I do not want to plant anything invasive. Does anyone have any opionions on a non invasive Ivy or any thoughts on the creeping fig?
