Little grapette?

I just had one bloom today that is very similar. I'll see if I can get a picture of it for you - it is ROYAL OCCASION and is about 4 inches across - scapes are short - a little over 2 inches.

It isn't Little Grapette, I have that in another spot.

I also don't think it is Royal Occassion. RO is very pretty but it looks more reddish than mine. My bloom is definitely a dark rose pink and a very distinct and wide dark purple eye.

Any other guesses?

How about Alpine Mist? It looks a lot like photos I've seen of it.

Is it a bit bigger than Little Grapette? For a couple of years I thought I had Darius, til I got Little Grapette in a trade. Turned out I found Darius at a local shop & it is larger than Little Grapette, a bit deeper in color too I think.

How about SILOAM COAL SPOT.. I know it is small and the coloring matches. I will see if I have a picture in my camera - know it was blooming a few days ago for sure because I marked it to be transplanted into a "Mini-society" bed this fall.

Could it be Night Dreams? It is registered as 3.5 inches and 17 inches high. It says red purple with black eye and yellow throat.

I think you might be right Christine. I just looked at my NIGHT DREAMS that bloomed and it looks almost exactly like the daylily in question

I think it is NIGHT DREAMS. I googled it and all the decriptions and photos are a perfect match. I am not a serious hybridizer so it isn't critical to have an exact name, I just like to have a way to ID them in my garden.

It looks like the throat on ALPINE MIST is green at the bottom and NIGHT DREAMS stays a golden yellow. I still think it might be NIGHT DREAMS based on that, I don't see any green in throat on my photo (and of course there aren;t any blooms to look at today).
