Julie Covington's Latest Blog Is Up--Great One

I just checked to see if Julie Covington has put up another blog, and yes!! she has. It is so beautiful, particularly since she has a number of garden pictures included plus the daylilies, of course. You can access this by going to juliecovingtonat. blog spot.com--this gets me there with no problem. Take a look, think you will love what you see. Avedon

I agree with you Avedon. Her post on July 16 includes so many beautiful daylilies. In face, it inspired a special new list of must have daylilies. I liked them all.

Thanks so much for your kind comments, Avedon and Hostabuff. Saw this just now.... I seem to stay way behind on pictures lately, but finally managed to ID enough from last weekend's Convention that I posted a blog on the first garden from this year's National meeting. Link is below - enjoy!

Wow Theresa! You've been busy. I love your blog. Theresa is my good daylily buddy. Her garden is already breathtaking and it is still in its infancy. It is smack dab in the middle of some of the richest farmland on earth and the daylilies love it there! Julia, Regrettably, the stress of trying to get all the food ready for buses with the power being out at my house in the 100 degree plus temps. was about all I could handle that day, and the buses were here in the afternoon when it was hottest. I totally didn't have a chance to get pictures that day and to tell the truth,was so busy it didn't even cross my mind.However,a friend from Region 15 who came up to teach both Garden Judges Workshops just sent me an email telling me she was mailing me a CD with pictures from the gardens to share with all the tour hosts. I imagine, since 3 of the 4 of us had power outages and some storm damage that we were all too busy to think of taking pictures on Saturday. Maybe we will get to see some pics that other people took. I did notice some people with cameras.

I keep up with her blog. I get that newsletter and the notices from AHS for all regional meetings, and they had the ballot there, so I voted that way this year. It is a little annoying to get notices from all over, but a bit interesting too. kay

AnnPann - I have read that book Go the F*** to Sleep, and laughed out loud about it. It seems to sum up the desperation that new parents may feel when their lovely little darling won't sleep... However, I read an interesting article that asked if the book would have been so funny if it had been written by a mother/woman. Would people still think it was funny if the mum had written it or would she (the author) be considered whiny? Quite interesting to think about, really. It seems that a lot of new fathers in this day and age are patted on the back for being "involved" and taking their kids to the grocery store, when, in fact, this is an everyday occurrence for many of the mothers. Just an interesting point to think about. I still liked the book tho.

Beautiful garden! Love the curved beds, miniature beds are amazing. That hosta bed looks great too.
Yes it was very chilly those days in our part of the country and Battle of Jericho was one of the very few that were open well those mornings.
