Hey, Cool, new fourm.

Hey what is some of the current records of some of the veggies out there?

I know that pumkins broke the 1000lb. barrier a few years ago. Whats it up to now?

How about the OS cross cabbages grown in Alaska, whats the record now?

I'll spread the word about the new fourm.

Are those Giant Cabbages from the Os Cross strain?

the cabbage record is 124 lb grown by bernard lavery

from the hercules variety. Not OS cross cabbages grown in alaska where the state record is only 105 lb.

The largest cabbage ever grown in Alaska was the Northern Giant variety. Grown by Barb Everingham. It had no head but weighed 105.6 pounds. With a head it would have easily broken the world record. The Northern Giant variety is not a reliable heading type cabbage. Neither is Bernard's Hercules variety. You can't beat the OS Cross variety for reliabilty.
