New Year's wishes and Christmas decor (pic heavy)

May all enjoy a peaceful and harmonious year ahead and may we all find the inner peace to weather the storms in our lives. :)

Christmas decorations didn't quite get to be what I had planned as I forgot just how much time it takes to grow a forest! There is always next year. This year I got 6 tomato cage trees done and 18 (I think) pylon trees with lights done. Lots of work and lots of burned fingers. Now I have to find a place to store them all and hunker down for what is sure to be a couplg of months of cold. We have just been too warm for this area thus far.......

No puppies for Christmas since Chloe decided she wasn't pregnant afterall. Spring is a much better time for pups anyway. I hope you all enjoy the pics and I look forward to sharing flower pics in the spring. My peaonies will be a sight for sore eyes! :)

Jack Sparrow is my Grandkitty I gifted to my daughter last year. This year he is more of a Christmas turkey than a sparrow!

Happy New Year to You! And thanks for all the wonderful pics! With this mild winter, it will be interesting what the new growing season will bring! I love all your hard work/decorating!!! It must look so wonderful at night all lit up! I'm sure the pics don't do it justice! Jane

Love your santas - what a great gift from your DH! Everything looks so festive with abundant decorations and lights.
And your "animal kingdom" is adorable - have a very happy New Year!

Jeanne, I am really,really sorry to be so late getting here. I always love seeing what you do, and the wonderful things you have to decorate with. I've never seen rustic chicks like those, so perfect for your decor too! That lighted egg sounds so neat with the colors that change! I also love the framed birdhouse picture. Mr and Mrs Bunny are such a cute couple! I remember lusting over those Easter blocks last year and wishing the Hobby Lobby I get to go to had them. Your home is always so welcoming and I'd give anything to live next door and be able to see everything in person. hugs, Karen

Thanks, Holiday-ers...for all your kind comments...I am very slow this holiday season ... the virus bugs have hit around here & takes time to kick 'em...soon, I hope. punk ... the walnut/stained glass hanging lamp is handmade by the original carpenter that made the buffet & table. We were luck enough back in 1985 @ my hubby's gr'parents estate sale to buy the buffet/table & brought it home strapped to the top of our camper...can ya believe that! Anyway, the light was hanging in my hubby's Dad & Mom's cabin in Minnesota & he gave it to us since it originally was made w/table/buffet. Isn't that just cool! The carpenter was Larry's gr'ma's brother-in-law & he died in 1938@ the young age of 44(born 1894) ... so all of this was handmade sometime in his married life to my hubby's gr'ma's sister. I have a handwritten letter from this sister back in 1985 telling us the history ... she was pretty old back then & shared it with us. Ok, I've rattled on ... the runner is new last yr from TJMaxx ... can get bargains @that store! I am looking forward to decorating that lil' vine tree some for Summer, too. :-) Thanks again, friends. Jeanne...Dollbaby looks so adorable and so festive..pearls and all!! I remember the picture of you wearing 'her' outfit..you look so cute and what a kick that you can enjoy it again on Dollbaby! Her nativity is so sweet. I remember you saying it was from your parents...what a treasure to have. I love your wall basket. You did a beautiful job on it, and your buffet also looks beautiful as usual. Great buy on the pinecone wreath...looks perfect with your new candle. I'm also loving the twig stars. I found one at GW w/o a price..but when I went to ask how much...they wanted too much (I thought) for it. I like how you placed them on the buffet with the deer and the lighted jar. Thank you for all the awesome comments guys! I have not been well the last few days and those have really picked me up. I usually do much more all over the yard but found I was very strapped for time this year. Also things are coming to a time to say goodbye to this old house so I didn't haul out a lot that is better left until next year. It was fun all the same and the neighbours just loved it! In fact, my next door neighbour who is always giving me a hard time, wants me to help her make some trees. I hope to have a whole farm full next year!
