Hi LAura, I swear, you and I are always on the same page! You had mentioned wanting another CS...I want one as well. I still remember that post a while back comparing the size of the CS flowers with some other plumies. They were...AMAZING! It was great chatting with ya....glad we got the RIP list straightened out! Kind of reminds me of that whole "GOld Rubio" situation...LMAO!! I also would love another Jeannie Moragne. I was VERY impressed with it's flower color and.....THAT FRAGRANCE WAS AWESOME!!!! Oh...BTW....I can now confirm that my Sariah Curly Pink from Sonia is producing its first inflo!! I am so excited/thrilled by this, I cannot even explain! Just to have some nice blooms this time of year. I am going to have to do some researching of the older posts after I post this response. I do not remember if it is fragrant at all or not. Next year ought to be one heck of a year for me...at least I hope. I bought/recieved so many plumeria last year(thanks to you Laura, and to all the others who gifted or traded plumeria with me!) and because most were unrooted cuttings, I didn't see blooms. This year I am looking forward to J105, Elsie, and so many more...especially my V.R. that I bought from Jungle Jacks. You know you have to many plumeia when you cannot remember what the intitials stand for..LMAO! I know that the last initial is rose, I wanted to say Venetian Rose but that's not it. It was the pic I sent to you of Sonia's. The plumeria had these bright pinkish/red flowers and they were doubles. Well take care everyone and Kevin, sorry for going off topic with Laura! Thanks everyone. We actually had colder weather the first couple of weeks in December (-18 F.) than we are having now, although we do have 1 and 1/2 feet of snow outside on the lawn. Mike, the few bucks of extra electricity to get plumeria to bloom in the middle of the winter is worth it! Between this and the light bulbs outside in my palm boxes, I figure it may cost me an extra $15.00 per month. Mike, regarding mites, what a chore! I must watch for mites carefully, every day. The lights are bright enough I can easily spot any. If I see just one mite crawling around, I spray the whole plant. So far, by doing this everyday, it has kept the mite population under control. My worst problem is waiting to water a plant now and then until it is too dry, and then it's oldest leaves will turn yellow and fall off, but the plants are doing very well. My seedlings that I started in July and August are now a foot tall, have robust trunks and large healthy leaves. I wouldn't be surprised if they bloom before one year old. That's very encouraging. I have a room that gets up to 25C (roughly 80F?). It gets enough sun to keep adeniums growing but, as I am learning this winter, not enough for getting them to bloom. Their cycles were also weird this year, blooming near the end of autumn instead of summer. So maybe they're also pausing. The only adenium experiment I succeeded with this winter is grafting since I have warmth and humidity and just enough sunlight to keep the parent plant growing without scorching the healing graft. The job you've done is an excellent benchmark for me, though. Thanks for sharing. Pagan

I think your ivy can be saved, but it will take a little work. It looks better than my ivy plants right now. They are pretty sensitive plants indoors, and I don't think they like a lot of temperature variation from day to day. After 3 years going strong, mine have started to suffer. We've had strange fluctuations in temperature--70 degrees one day, 20 degrees with low humidity the next--outdoor plants are blooming...it's very confusing for any plant, I'm sure. The shower recommendation, if the soil isn't too damp, is probably a good first move. I do this every time I water by gently spraying the leaves. It does take some time. Neem oil, I have not tried, only because I'm lazy. : )
