BROOKE gosh its been so long since ive heard from my friend with the SPUFS!!!! Love you BTW. But yeah seedlings means some that i have hybridized, most of those are 3year seedlings i havent done any crossing this year at all, dont have time, and the daylilies are 45min away at the parents in foster care...... So when i go i take pics to have something to remember them by. The first pics are of Peacock Maiden and existing hybrid, and yes my blooms for that one get well over 10-14 inches, its an amazing flower. The other purple, is about 7", the yellow is actually the smallest at 5, and the peach is a 6-8 depending on water and sun.

Jean: I know about hot and humid weather and we are suppose to get back to those dreadful temps/humidity later this week. For now, I'll enjoy the cooler and windy weather we are having now. Easier to get gardening work done. mantis: Glad it helps you. I don't mean to downplay a hybridizers creation but if it doesn't show improvement in 2 years, it has to go where it can flourish better. Even with this seasons up and downs (it could happen again), it's another way to see which cultivar is able to stand the test of our weather patterns. Julia

Thank you all! I love Dark Desire, it’s not overly prolific (about 15 blooms) and the first couple were kind of wonky, but the rest have been just about perfect. Kristine and Carol, Forgotten Dreams is one of my oldest roses, I got it from Edmunds before it was sold. Some years it does better than others, it got pruned a lot this year. Diane and Lisa, Crazy Love can look really orange in person, depending on when it’s blooming, I like the more subdued colors myself. I actually got it by mistake, but it’s proven to be a very good rose. straw, Beverly has probably been my best Hybrid Tea, it does very good for me. I love the shape of the blooms. BenT, my oldest Poseidon had to be pruned a lot, but the other one had almost no damage.

I had some first ever bloomers the past few days. Minnesota Morning was a bonus i received last season, it had its first bloom today. I’m wondering if it will be a late here, will have to wait till next season since many bloom times are off this season. Strength and Beauty is having it’s third sesaon here and this is its first bloom. it was leaving if it didnt bloom this season, i rather like the pattern. Siloam Double Peony had first bloom ever yesterday. It is snuggled up to a hydrangea. This hydrangea hadnt bloomed for two seasons, it is huge this season. Indian Giver was showing off this week. Smurfette is having its dirst blooms this year, got a better photo today. I really like this one. I finally got a good photo of Reindeer Antlers. It is being shaded by a vine, it will be moved after it is done blooming. Blooming on this one is about 4 weeks early, its been blooming for at least three weeks. Sea Dragon started blooming this week, another one that is blooming two weeks earlier than usual. Sherry
