Just a couple new ones again, today

I tried to stay on my feet long enough to get photo's of all the new ones, but, couldnt do it this morning, then tried this evening, too, and still couldn't stay up on my feet long enough, to get to all of them, so just found 2 new ones had not shown before.

It had 4 blooms today, b ut,I only took the one.

Another one that had 4 blooms today.

The knee is still too painful to stay on my feet very long at a time.Hopefully it wont last much longer.

Very pretty. EMPEROR'S DRAGON and BEAUTIFUL EDGINGS are my favorites. Take care of that knee so that you get better.

GEEZ KAY,Thats not very incourageing with WILD CHERRY ROUNDUP.i HOPE I get at least one bloom out of it that opens good, to see what it looks like.I may try moving it some where else this fall, to see if it might do batter next spring,but I wont discard it..Might give it to one of my daughters who is like Me and is a flower nut.Her main love is roses, but loves daylilies, too. Thank you for looking at my photo's and the nice comments, too.Ann,I was surprised at the coloring of this seedling, too.Don't resemble either parent,but it is very pretty.The coloring in the photo is not exact.Its a lavender pink color,and a darker eye color. Jan, Yes,I do love STRUTTER"S BALL,but I love purples and Reds anyway.I believe this is the only Purple one I have.:( Jean

Thanks everyone - glad you liked them! ngraham - I have a couple of other daylilies by Liz Salter that do better for me than Crystal Blue Persuasion: Mystic Mariner (although it doesn't open quite as well on cool mornings) Dragon Dreams (I've only had this for a year, but it's doing well so far. Its eye isn't as blue as Crystal Blue Persuasion's, but I think it has better form and the background color is prettier - CBP is very muddy.) Vickie - Thanks for the suggestion - I have tried to fold the sepals back and sometimes it works, but other times they just rip. I just wish it would open well on its own! No photos today because it just poured this morning and all the daylilies looked pretty bad. The only one which held up was Magic Lace - it has very good substance (but it was deformed with some of the stamens and petals fused together). Juliet

Wonder of It All always looks perfect. Mine is getting ready open, and I hope it will look as good as yours. Last year every blooms was distorted because of those darned thrips I had. I do have thrips again, but WOIA doesn't seem to have them this time.

I love the pattern on the petals and sepals on Emperor's Dragon. Take care of that knee!

Debra.I do hope your WOIA will be perfect for you too.It is such a beautful bloom.I just had the first two blooms didnt open good, but since then, they all have been about perfect.

I'm so sorry you aren't better, I was so sure it would hurt less the next day. Well, it is Friday now, I hope you are feeling better today.
Your pictures are all great, Wonder of it All is always beautiful, and so is Beautiful Edgings. I really like Emperor's Dragon & Gilden Shadows too. I have S. Ury Winniford too, a pretty little daylily that blooms well, I just wish it had a bigger flower. I like big flowers :)

Hey,Nancy,I was just sure I would be ok by today, too, but am no better.Was sick most of the night last night with this Acid Reflux stuff.I was asleep amd woke up to gagging, spitting and fighting to breathe, and my throat was on fire, not to mention the inside of my mouth, too.Tried sippimg ice water to cool my throat, but that only lasted a few seconds.well, making a long story short, everything I tried done no good.so I sat up mostly all night, and realy feeling like crap today, so didnt go out to get any pictures, today,Didn't even go out and water everything, so will have to get out in the morning and water stuff,and just hope I can nuster up the energy to do it.

Really nice pics, Jean. Love that Wonder Of It All!

Have acid reflux, too - have bottles of Pepcid Complete all over the place to chew. Couldn't be without it. I can't take any of the prescription meds for it, as they give me really bad joint pains. Hope you are feeling better by now.

Have you been getting rain? We have gone for months without rain. I am having to water every day.

Jean and others who suffer with acid reflux - I found the cure for the burning throat. Put a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in 4-6 ounces of water and drink. The vinegar neutralizes the acid and stops the burning almost immediately.

Thanks for that bit of information.Will it also get rid of that horrible nasty taste in your mouth too, from this acid reflux crap?Wish I had seen this earlier before going out with the daughter yesterday to pick up some needed things at wal mart,I could have gotten it yesterday.Wont be going out now till Thursday evening. Thanks.
