Finally got my first Conadria Fig to ripen in San Francisco

In a previous post, I stated that Conadria did not ripen for me, nor did Improved Brown Turkey. I would like to make a correction to that.

Today, I got a huge Conadria fig to ripen. The taste was not very sweet, but it was edible and juicy. Not premium quality, but I thought it was okay for me to keep eating.

So far, I can confirm as more time that Conadria stands a much higher chance of ripening in cool climates than Brown Turkey.

But I don't think Conadria is worth while to grow considering that Desert King and Osbourne Prolific tastes a whole lot better and requires even less heat to ripen with good quality. Even Excell works better than Conadria, and almost produce figs as big as the Conadrias. But Conadria is one fat fig.

My advice to anyone in cooler area. Forget the Brown Turkey. Not worth growing.
