Resizing pictures

I just found out why I am having such a hard time downloading pics from my Kodak software site to photobucket. My digital camera loads the pics to Kodak site at pixels way above the 800 x 600 size. (More like 2500 x 1800). I can't resize them at either Kodak or Photobucket. Any sugestions on a way to resize my pics? Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions . FF

I use the freeware Picsizer. Try running a search on Picsizer.

Any photo-editing software will do it. Photoshop will do almost anything to your pix, but is a little pricey.

Do you have "paint" on your computer? Some computers come with it or something similar. Click on "start" or programs to see if you have it. Once in paint or a similar freebie program I click on "file", "open" then look for my picture. I click on the picture and it opens in paint. I then click on "resize" and then "pixels". I usually change my pixels to around 1000 or 500. See what your picture pixel is and put in a smaller number.

Hello Spencersmom, What I'm doing is downloading from my digital camera. I have the Kodak easy share program. I select the pictures. I then send them to my documents. Then go to my photo bucket account, select the pictures I would like to share from my documents. Send the pictures from my documents to Photo bucket. Then try to resize them there. Obviously I'm doing something wrong or missing a step. Probably both

there is an awesome forum over at BBR where their amazingly talented members who are offering to do these kinds of things for you for absolutely free, I have had them help me out several times. Go to your pictures (graphics or signatures) in your computer, Right click onto a picture, a box will open, left click "Edit", A big box will open with your picture showing, In the top bar, click "Image", Then click "Stretch", Another box will open and you can change the sizes there. I only change the top two sizes. And I am using 50 in both (There are two more, but I leave them alone). This cuts the photo by half. Just keep playing around with the size till you get what you want, Then click "OK", The new size will now appear, Click "Files" in the top left hand side, Click "Save as", You now have a new small size picture. You can delete the larger size if you wish.

Photobucket will do it. On the upload page there is an OPTIONS that if you click on it gives you several different sizes.

Thanks for the help. I'll try the photobucket first. I have waited up to 15 minutes trying to upload one photo. FF

Just guessing but I donÂt think you would save that much time on the upload itself, Photobucket probably has to receive the file before it resizes and stores it.
