Trying to post seedling pics.

I moved the folder after posting pics..so sorry. I got a pic of the last bloom on Motes. After taking forum advice, I pollenated several daylilies. The diploids didn't take but a couple of the tets did. I'll wait and see if they ripen.

I have shown this before. The teeth are still on the sepals. I plan to register this one as soon as I gather all the data.

Gorgeous! I'll take one of each LOL.
I really do like every one of them, but Motes is still my favorite with Autumn Glory coming in second.

Motes looks truely lovely. But my favorite by far is the second one, Gar Name Autum Glory. What a stunner!

Well thank you Jean!! debra, I have had so many of those butterflies this year along with the Monarch that I usually miss. In fact, I have Monarch catapillars on whats left of the Fennell. They ate it to the ground almost. That SOT seedling does look like it's pod parent. That's a ffo so I expect improvement. She was really pretty last year! Val, I'm pretty sure the unknown that yo like is an Ed Brown kid but don't know the other parent. It's a nice soft color very feminine.. Christine, that yellow is very bright and clear. A good sized bloom too, that makes it attractive.. Linda, I think that the best photo I have seen on that butterfly. I suppose I have taken dozens of pictures of them and the Swallowtails.. ngraham, that particular photo was taken with an I Phone. My camera around my neck didn't do nearly as well.. Glad you like the seedlings.. Kay, the first one is in it's second year but it isn't photogenic because, it's much prettier in the garden. AND I knew you liked the red ones... Rita, the story around Brown Trousers is what makes it interesting to me. It's also the reason I keep it because I really think it's homely....being polite... Julia, I did a lot of crosses with Inherited Wealth for 2 years but I haven't used it for awhile. Also, Spacecoast Starburst is one I used but stopped for awhile. INH Wea makes pretty babies. Late to the party, but just took pix so figured I'd post. Potted up most of the peppers to individual cells weeks ago, but still have Alma and Tequila Sunrise from Bill multiples per cell. Hope I don't kill them separating them. They're up front on the right (with white envelope in front) - don't they look nice? These won't be transplanted for another 4 weeks at least. Hello, welcome to Garden Web! Sorry no one has come in to help you, I will have a go! (I live in the UK and think I am zone 8). I started mine on 16th Jan and I too found that it was several weeks before any leaves showed. On saying that, I've had a look at your mango pic and to me it seems as though it may be short of light as the stem looks exceptionally long and thin. Once the sprout showed above the seed I gave mine full light. The leaves are really tiny, thin and delicate to start with and reddish in colour. It seems from what I have read that mangoes grow some stem, then a set of leaves, then some more stem and so on. Here's a pic of mine taken on 28 Feb, with another seed ready to plant.... This pic was taken on 26th March Today, one month on from last pic, it looks exactly the same apart from a tuft of 6 or so new leaves that's just showing, so, they certainly take their time. I scrubbed the flesh off the seed case, prised the case open carefully with a sharp knife and took out the large bean shaped seed. This was then put between 2 sheets of very wet kitchen paper on a sealed plastic tub and put in the warmth of the hot water cylinder cupboard till it sprouted a root, it was VERY quick to do this, only 4-5 days. You have to check daily to make sure its still moist and see if it has sprouted. I then put it into a 3inch pot with part of the seed showing. Within a day or so the stem appeared and I grew it on...pic 1. It's now in the next size pot up from the original one...pic 2. Not sure if your seedlings will deveop into strong enough plants, as they look a bit weak and spindly, but if you decide to enjoy another delicious mango or two, or three, do have another go and try this... Another tip may be to use a smaller pot and fill it up a little more so the seedling is not searching for the light and put it in a sunny spot. Oh, mine is my favourite 'Kent' mango btw, a lovely juicy and smooth variety we get over here, not that I ever expect mine to fruit...in the UK, you must be joking, but it's fun to try and grow one. Me too I have to use the houzz photo button, browse, find picture and select it, then wait for a while till it appears in the houzz photo box, click insert, then it appears in the reply box and click submit. I was notwaiting long enough after selecting the picture, it does not appear instantly! Sometimes I think no it didn't work but wait a while longer and suddenly there it is. So don't get rushed.

Motes has such wonderful patterns on both petal and sepals. It keeps getting better with each bloom. Autumn Glory is very eyecatching with those darker edges on petals and sepals. (Are you sure you didn't just draw those on there? LOL) The Chance Encounter kid has lovely color and form, and all the pinks are pretty. You got some interesting edges on those Golden Tentacles kids. Congrats on such nice seedlings.

Much success with your intro of HOL TEN X HO DEV. What are the cultivars for that cross? I can't figure out the abbreviation.

I adore the colors and patterns on Motes. In this pic, it looks like she was a little uncertain what to do with that bottom petal, it doesn't look as recurved as the rest, but she is still a baby and as I understand, she is likely to still be improving next year? She is still one of my favorites.

That reddish edge on Autumn Glory looks very nice and I don't remember seeing that kind of blended edge on a daylily before. Have I just not been paying attention, or is that pretty unusual?

I also really like the last one, and all 3 of the InW x JKO. And everything else too. :)

Debra, I am surprised you don't remember Autumn Glory. I posted it and took names for it then the forum voted on it. The name came from Kay/. As for Motes, that was not the last picture. I am really messing up! Here is the correct one and see what happened to the petals!!

Julia, I like those seedling from Jacq ken On too! The cross is a name I dislike and only got the pollen because the naame of the ollen parent is a little vulgar. It's Golden Tentacles X Horny Devil. Named because of the horns type edge. Pickles is pretty much a humorus person..

Pinks and purples Kay?? Me too..especially pinks..

Casey, otes got straight, if you look above! As for Autumn Glory, the edge is more rust than red and really, I think this color combo is unusual. If I'm not mistaken, Ed has that one too! He had a good clump the last I saw! I also have a cream yellow w/ a little pink edging but she hasn't bloomed yet!..
