Four years of Picea abies 'Suncrest'

Undoubtedly one of my favorite Norway spruce, this small gem is a slow grower, perhaps an inch or two a year(2-3 cm) and has exceptional different season appeal with soft green new growth, maturing into a multicolored appearance similar to Picea omorika.

It's a plant I can't recommend any stronger to any gardener or conifer grower alike.

2010 - Hardened foliage

2012 - Late Summer, notice the different look from the early season(first photo)

2012 - Winter, beautiful, shimmering foliage.

2014 - Winter

Full sun is a must for this beautiful effect.
