OT - Women who toil in the garden

When I work in the garden, whether mowing, weeding or many other deeds, when it is hot my face gets very red and DH thinks there is something wrong with me. (I will check with my MD next time in) but this happens and has for at least the last 17 years that I have been back into gardening. I have to wear a hat and lots of sunscreen because of past skin cancers and do sweat up a storm in the humidity. I drink lots of water and diluted iced tea. I don't feel any ill effects except for being too darn hot and dripping perspiration.

This is the same DH who says I work too hard in the yard. He isn't able to be of any help due to spinal stenosis. I do have some hired help occasionally as I just can't handle it all by myself. I enjoy gardening and certainly need the exercise because of osteopenia.

Just wonder if any of you have this problem (if it is that).
