I have a Ficus carica 'Petite Negra'. I have had it for about 6 months now, it's in a small 4" pot. It is still in the original soil, I never repotted it. I had been watering it with plain water the whole time. Since it was putting out new leaves now, I decided to give it a little Algoflash (all purpose 6-6-6). Now the plant looks terrible, the leaves are getting all light green and it does not look happy. Did I make a big mistake? The leaves had looked normal when I was using plain water. Are they that sensitive to fertilizer? I've been growing it dry because of the winter. Or should I have not fertilized it yet? It's in a warm place in full sun on a windowsill. Thank you for any advice, I killed the last fig I had as well.
