Monica, No, I haven't gotten it. Could you please try resending? I'd love to see what you have. We don't have to trade plant for plant if I don't find as many things as I have blue spruce. You can have all that I have anyway. I'm just looking to get all of my plants out of here and given away to people before we get a frost. Tonight it's supposed to get down to the upper 30's, but then it's supposed to warm up for about a week, so I'm not worried about it yet. I guess we'll have to aim for next Monday now probably depending on how far away we live from each other (how long the plants would probably take to get from here to there and there to here :)). I think it is a Juniper seedling.

These are two year old seedlings--18" tall or so, grown one year as plugs, then one year planted out. The nursery that sold them to me, Van's Pines, is well established, has been in the business for many, many years, and has a very good reputation, so false claims seem out of the question. I also doubt they have been treated with anything--they are freshly dug and shipped immediately after. The color is, of course green, but not much different from Norway spruce trees of the same age, etc. as these blue spruce. One possibility, but a remote one, is that they were mixed up and got the wrong label. --Spruce

It's the coastal influence would be my guess that's screwing it up. Sunset Western Garden Book lists Picea pungens as zones 1-10 of their rating system. In your situation you're a different zone 10 than other Western Zone 10's where desert or dryer conditions, exist. I would've given up after the second time if I knew I had done everything, correctly...
