Found some more pretty Bloooms today.

I have scapes popping up every where, so I grabbed the camera and took a few more pictures today.

This is really a pretty little thing.Guess it has to be here awhile before it has a double bloom.

This was a bonus plant aa couple years ago, when I ordered a couple plants out of Mousouri.Its a tiny little thing.

I just LOVE this one.I bet I took 20 pictures of it, then decided I really didn't need to keep that many of this first bloom,so I deleted some of them,,mainly because I will be getting pictures of every bloom.Thanks Rita.

They are beautiful. I am so glad there are others out there taking pictures of their blooms. I bet my neighbors think I am nuts.

Happy returns is a winner, isn't it? What fun to see all those scapes. I have a cultivar of guaranitica called Black and Blue (the calyxes are black) and it is a hummingbird magnet also, but borderline hardy here so I have to treat it like an annual. Yours is so pretty and an amazing shade of blue. Christine

playsndurt, you're not an idiot. Most people don't know or care about the names of their DL's. We are the strange ones...knowing not only the name, but the hybridizer and other stats too, is downright wacky. LOL! It doesn't really matter, if you're happy with them. You've got some pretty ones! Thanks everybody! BC, I believe I got BRONZE MASTERPIECE as one of those cheapie bagged bareroots at WalMart several yrs ago. I was going to do a "Masterpiece Series" rose bed, but if I remember correctly, RED M and GRAND M died on me before I could get the bed planned. I also have GOLDEN M and ORCHID and PINK.... oh and WHITE too. But those are all in various beds around the yard. BRONZE is typically a more unruly kind of a bloom. It tends to get all floppy and loose, but the petals do that recurving thing that looks really cool. And I love the veining on it. For me it grows about 5-6 ft tall. I guess it's a keeper!!

Thanks dizzy, Seil and Sofl. I have grown kiddos and chose rose growing as my kids left me hobby. Lol. My poor hubby doesn't stand a chance. Now I have a precious 3 yr old grandson whom I have out in the garden everyday when he's with me so I'm gonna gear him towards helping nana keep the weeds at bay. Lol. I would show more yard shots if I had the weeds under control and a couple yrs ago had zoysia sod put in and good gravy that stuff try's to take over too. It's almost a losing battle. Jean - Double Classic doesn't always double. In fact I am lucky if it doubles about half the time. I never worry about it as it is pretty either way. And Bubbles Galore is one of those with lots and lots of chicken fat on the edges. The flowers should improve as a few more open.

catscottage:Neighbors just might think you are nuts to be out taking pictures of your blooms, but, you know what?I bet you have more fun then your neighbors do,I'm sure mine may think I am nuts, too,but,I don't really care what they think.The only neighbor that matters to me, knows why I take pictures,if she ever sees me.I live in the middle of a block and she lives on the corner,and she don't come outside very often.

RITA: I don't care if Double Classic ever has double flowers .I like it just as it is.Love the color of it.
BUBBLES GALORE is so pretty,don't see how it could improve,unless it can open up by its self.I helped it just a tiny little bit to open.Its such a beautiful, gorgeous daylily.I just LOVE it.I am kind of thinking that maybe the one about the BIG YELLOW TAXI, might have a edge like this.I might be a little off on the name of it at the minute. I must have went outside 20 times this afternoon to just look at this bloom.It has more buds on it yet.

NO FAIR....I don't have any daylilies blooming-just starting to see a couple scapes.
I have Siloam Double Classic and I've never seen it not double. Must like something here!

Wonderful photos. I have to say I love the yellow one, MISS MARY MARY. So very bright. I still don't have SILOAM DOUBLE CLASSIC.
I saw your other thread with pics too. You've got nice blooms to start off the season.

Jean, you have some pretty ones this early! Siloam Double Classic needs warm nights to double. My first few blooms are always singles.

Pretty ones, Jean. MY SDC is blooming down in the foliage this year. I don't know what the problem is - it has never done this before? I'm hoping it will do better when it reblooms. Is that a tango lily? Love it! I keep saying I'm going to try a few, but something else always grabs my wallet.

Francois Verhaert always grabs my attention when I see a picture of it. It and SDC are on my short list this year.

Nice pics, Jean. And I don't worry about what my neighbors say either. I have taken a picture of everything at every possible angle and every distance and they can call me crazy:)

I take pictures of my flowers almost every day. Who cares what the neighbor's think? None of them have even 10% of my flowers. I suppose they would appreciate it if I wasn't wearing baggy sweats with mis-matched shirts and if I brushed my hair first but not always going to happen....

My first bloom was in April 28 and again on May 1, I took it to my daylily show and won a blue ribbon on RED CLOUD MESA. Now I have scapes popping up and now I will have a bloom coming on TURKISH TAPESTRY in a day or two.
