Jake has the cutest face. Emma is a beauty and I see you like black and white cats. They are all beauties.

They are all so cute.Jake looks very happy.Daphne, has a cute little goatee.But, to pick favorites out of them all,I would choose Emma and Henry.They have a lot of Persian in them,and I use to raise Persians.

Yay! Happiness in fuzzy form. I really like Henry, especially. It is funny because this year, before your pics, was the first time I've ever seen huge clumps of incredible primulas and they were in a garden one of family members just bought from an amazing Dutch woman in St. Catharines. When I saw your weather comment, I checked your zone and thought "Huh, Ontario" and you also have these incredible primula clumps. Must be something in the dirt.;)

Jean - Yes Emma and Henry do have long hair. I figured they probably had some Persian in them. You can't tell from the picture of him looking out the window as that was last summer when he first came to live here when he was not even a year old but as Tucker grew his hair started to get really long too. Here's a really recent picture. You can see how much longer Tucker's hair has gotten:

Oh Yea.Jason.He has a lot of Persian in him.I sure hope you keep it brushed and combed so it dont get matted up bad.He's very pretty.Hope you post more pictures of them in the future, too.

Jean - I do keep them all brushed out. Every week they all get brushed out thoroughly. It's funny, the one who needs it the least (because her fur is short) loves getting brushed the most. The other three cats don't like being brushed out quite as much but they tolerate it. Whether they need it or not, they all get brushed every Monday (the dog too). I've seen some long haired cats who's fur is so matted that they really need to be shaved! I certainly don't want any of mine looking like that.......

Cindy - Jake tolerates the cats but he is definitely the odd man out. He could take or leave them. Since Jake was the first one to come, one would think he'd be the boss but the cats seem to get pushy at times. He puts up with a lot from them, luckily he has a very good temperment. As for the cats getting along. Here's how it goes. Henry and Tucker are best buddies. They are the two youngest. Daphne can't stand any of the other cats. She loves people though and is the very first to greet any visitor that comes and wants to be on their lap as soon as they sit down. Emma also doesn't like any of the other cats but LOVES Jake. Henry and Tucker are okay with Daphne. They get into scuffles sometimes but Daphne is a brute and has no problem putting them in their place. Tucker and Henry do not like Emma at all. For some reason Tucker and Emma especially don't like each other and have got into a few knock down drag out fights off and on. Nobody gets hurt but the fur does fly! It's funny how the dynamics work between them. I can't even begin to figure it out!

hahahaha,I did laugh at this picture when it came up, the cats all laying in their own beds, all lined up,and the dog is in a nother room by himself away from the cats.This is tooo funny.Them cats looks so sweet all lines up in a row, but, they sure look like they need to be put on a diet to lose a few poundsm before the hot weather starts.Do you ever give the cats a Bath?

I like that picture :) I feel sort of sad for Jake having to sleep in another room by himself. Some contented looking cats though.

Jean - No I don't bath the cats. They never get dirty. They are strictly indoor cats. They have all had a bath before at one time or another for whatever reason it was at the time but it's not something I would do unless they needed one for a specific reason. Emma and Henry are all fur. They each weigh 9 pounds so they're not really that chubby. Tucker, who's not in the picture because we didn't have him yet, used to weigh that too but since we brought him home last July he's definitely got a lot chubbier so I know he weighs more than that now. Daphne is the biggest. She weighs in at a whopping 19 pounds. She's healthy though. She goes to the vet every year for her shots and the vet always tells me to put her on control feeding which I do but she never looses any weight! She'll turn 11 in June and I'd say the chances of her ever being slim are probably....well.....slim!

ngraham - That's where Jake used to nap when I was on the computer (beside him). He likes to be close to me wherever I am. That's not where he slept at night. He always sleeps in the bedroom beside the bed. The cats aren't allowed in the bedroom. It's the one place where Jake can get away from them and believe me, he loves it! They drive him nuts most of the time.
