As a young plant it may be not have set seed. Watch for seed formation on the stem just below the flowers. Seeds look like tiny leaves but are firm to touch. I watch for maturity...turn slight brown colour from green and fall off stem easily. So far I've collected four seeds! LOL
I'll be bringing my gauras inside for the winter as I'm still unsure of their suvival rate in Zone 4/5. Pink gaura did not make it through 2004. But a white species survived last year in my rose garden!

Thanks so much for the information! Mine is white, but I may move it to a more sheltered place for the winter.and, I'll try my luck at getting a few seeds as well.

I have some seeds from last years harvest if you're interested. I wintersow them every year and they bloom beautifully all summer for me. No chance of them overwintering for me in zone 3 so I treat them as an annual.
