HAVE: Plants for pick up in London Ontario

I have two Iochroma australe plants that need new homes before winter. The two two plants are three feet tall and could easily be trained as a standard instead of keeping the usual shrubby growth habit.

I am not really looking for anything in trade right now but plants that might tempt me are Hoyas, Stapeliads, Ceropegias, small growing orchid species, milkweed seeds or plants.

Message me if you are interested in one of the Iochroma plants.

If only I lived closer I would offer to take a plant lol As for milkweed...I can get you some seeds of the regular kind, and some swamp milkweed as well. They should be ready in a short while

How would it have to be overwintered?

Hi again everyone ! Thanks so much for being willing to trade other than at the swap. I thought I would list some stuff that I have to trade so that the above traders could pick what they want and I can get it potted up for them . Origami master I have the milkweed species that are native to Canada and am looking for other species from the USA especially the smaller species and Asclepias subulata.

Iochroma can be over wintered like Brugmansia, some light, not much water and cool temperatures. The plant will go dormant and look terrible but it will come back strong come spring once it is moved outside. If you have a sunny space indoors you can simply keep up watering at a reduced rate and allow the plant to continue to grow through the winter.

thanks for the info Mike. I would love to have a plant, but I looked up your list of plants that you have and I am not in your league! :) I doubt that I have anything in the way of seeds that you would be interested in, and as far as plants to trade, all I have is one nameless hoya that I have had for years that I cannot get to flower.....wan't to try it? :)

I wonder if your Hoya is Hoya carnosa the old fashioned wax plant? I have the green leaved Hoya carnosa variety 'krinkle 8' but if your plant is different I might want to give it a try. Try looking up Hoya carnosa on Google and looking at some of the photos.

I looked it up and it seems to be the same as the images that I saw. Large smooth leaves with occassional silver flecks. I would definitely say it is just the common, old fashioned hoya.
