FFO - Wild Irish

Finally able to get the pic posted. WILD IRISH had some struggles with opening since our temps kept going up and then back down but its a definite keeper for me. I'm sure next year it will bloom later in the season here.

WI was planted this spring which I bought from Gaskins.

Julia, with the warm days and very cool nights, it's a wonder anything here is blooming. I really like WI. I don't have it but I can see from your picture that it is going to be beautiful. Tanks for sohowing her to us!! Ellie

Hi Dot, Love in a Mist is an annual that reseeds and I just love it. It's so airy and delicate that any sprouts that you don't want, they pull so very easily. I usually just let them grow at will. They are Nigella. You can search on either. I'd post some more pics showing the beautiful seed pods, but my other computer is dead and until I get it fixed my last year photos and before are also dead. Send me an email, please.. Thank y'all all for looking and commenting. Debra, I was quite surprised when Woman in red started out with five blooms. As it gets hotter my Clown Parade may not be quite as bright as it is right now.. Julia, the photos of Clown Parade on Blueridge with it large bouquet blooms is what made me so intent on having it.. And everyone knows I really like reds and oranges and the really dark ones too. Sherry, Orange is notoriously hard to get good color in photographs which is why Citrix photos bug me so much. kay

Julia, nice ruffles on WI. The weather this year has really thrown us for a loop, hasn't it? But most of the surprises are nice, I think.

That's great looking for a FFO. I won't likely see mine blooming here until some time in July, but it sure has increased like gangbusters in the two years it's been in the garden while DUKE OF GASCONE is holding at 2 fans and a small increase so far. I can hardly wait to see how the blooms look on WI this year. Thanks for sharing your pic.

Thanks for all the comments. I'd be interested in seeing how this one performs later in the season when temps are more consistent in the 70's to 80's. Still lots of buds on this one. 3 scapes and lots of buds.

The other dl Gaskins sent as a gift plant is CITRON ENCHANTER. Noticed today it has a scape coming up so I think by late June I should have some pics of that one too (I hope).

It sure is a beauty, even for a first flower.I love the color of it.We have crazy weather too,and I have some that don't open good.Thanks for sharing it.

Pretty daylily. For some reason I always think of something named Irish as having a green color. But this is nice too.
