Is that variegated creeping one underneath a Juniperus conferta 'Gold Splash'?

Your detail pic looks more like a Pinus parviflora 'Fukai' to me, was it taken at a shady spot?

Yes the close up was from a shadier spot on the same plant. We had two weeks of 95 F temps and the tips got a little burnt so I looked for a spot that wasn't . This one is tough to site in my climate. Here's a close up from a previous year of same plant.

Yeah, 'Sunsplash' it is, I remember a pic of it I saw a long time ago in the conifer books written by Van Hoey Smith and Van Gelderen...

Haven't seen any shots of your garden in a while and I always liked it. That's a great looking parv for sure.
