Need advice on companion plant

Last year I planted a "sweet kate" or "gold and blue" spiderwort in my side garden. There was only one daylily over by it. I decided today to move it to the new bed that I just planted with my new DL babies. I came in the house and started reading up on the spiderwort. Well now I'm a little freaked. I'm finding conflicting reports about the invasive tendencies of this plant. If it is at all invasive in my zone 7b garden I need to pull it out now. So please tell me what you all think. Yank it or leave it be in the same bed with my much loved DL's?

Thanks!
