HD TV National Trust Gardens- wonderful!!!
Comments (7)i did a quick google and came up w/ this site re purchase. i haven't found the chart to be viewable on line; i bet it's copyrighted so that it will NOT be found on line. ( great idea though!) certainly if all gardeners used this chart, it would be soooo much better, giving us all a common language- as we have with botanical Latin ,and rulers for measurements!! best, mindy Here is a link that might be useful: to purchase RHS color chart...See MoreRHS color chart
Comments (2)The hurricanes even affected us this far north... we got somewhere between 7-10 inches of rain, all within a 3 day period... and some fairly high winds. The creek that runs through our property and through the local town has overrun its banks and caused some flooding. I believe it crested yesterday, and it should begin to recede today. I'm glad I pulled my Sprekelia and Lycoris pots into the garage before the rains began, along with my Mandevilla vine and a pot of Sans. I did leave my young seedlings out in the weather, and they survived just fine. It's now time to re-pot them and bring them indoors for the winter. I hope everyone in the path of these tropical storms has managed ok... please check in when you can! We do worry about our southern friends! :-)...See MoreDoes anyone have the RH Madeleine Barstools?
Comments (12)jgopp-Yes, I have seen them in your kitchen and I love them there! We would have to use the screwtight because my DH is a "lean-backer" in chairs. We purchased a beautiful Pottery Barn dining table with 6 of the schoolhouse chairs and we had to get them all re-screwed and glued back together a few years after we purchased. Now, barstools aren't veryeasy to lean back in, if it is even possible, but the ones we buy will have to be relatively sturdy. Breezy-thanks for the pic! The stools I found, purchased, and brought home are just like the RH Toledo without the back...Loved them because I am short, DH is tall and with the swivel stool, you can adjust the height easily. But they weren't comfortable for DH...Bad timing, because he came in from working all day and he said his back hurt and then he sat on the stool. The next day, he tried them again and really wants backs...For some reason, the Toledo-style with backs aren't as appealing for me...PB stools with Backs are almost $300 a piece! For three, + shipping...not an option! BTW, how is your kitchen coming along? readyalready-My counter is 7' and I measured and mocked it up for the Madeleines and it is do-able but tight. I think you could easily do 3 but I don't know "the rule of thumb" for spacing chairs. I bet someone on here does though! Anyone else have them or something like what you might find there or at PB? I don't want leather or anything ornate/formal......See Moreanyone know where to get similar RH light?
Comments (8)Chips a, Looking for local CA sources as well. Michou- I have ordered a 27" chandelier from Aceiron. I was inspired by Pirula's gorgeous one over her dining table. I haven't received it yet. So can't comment on the quality, packing, and shipping personally. The chandelier itself seemed cheaper than comparable items.. Cost was around $150 to ship to CA however.
