HAVE: For Issaquah....Babies anyone?

I have some wintersown seedling babies that need homes. They all have their 1st or 2nd set of true leaves and were sown outside, so they're just fine outdoors.

Deliphinium grandiflorum 'Blue Butterfly'

Penstemon smallii 'Violet Dusk'

Ratibida columnifera, Mexican hat

Amsonia

Chasmanthium latifolium, Northern sea oats

Dianthus deltoides, Maiden Pinks Brilliancy

Polemonium coeruleum, Jacob's ladder

I do! I do! I have a 27" MW/convection (without the oven underneath). I can tell you the good and the bad about it. Mainly I bought it because it matched my KA slide-in range and DH would not let me get another conventional oven. To me, it is a really expensive toaster oven. Here's the bad: - the microwave is underpowered. 900W is less than my old OTR microwave. You will notice it's lack of power when you go to pop popcorn - it is extremely hard to clean the faux stainless steel interior. The ceiling of mw has gunk on it that I just can't get off. - one of my pet peeves - no button to turn the turntable off (maybe they've changed this since I bought mine). To put a 9x13 pan in there you have to physically dismantle the turntable to the pan will bang into the sides of the oven. The good: - it pre-heats really fast (much faster than a conventional oven). - comes in handy for baking frozen snacks for the kids (I would never cook any kind of meat in there though, because it is too hard to clean the interior walls. I have had a few service issues with it in the five years: The interior light burned out. Requires a service call to fix it! Costly light bulb replacement. The rod in the door hinge has busted two times. You know when this happens because you hear "snap" when the pull the door down and there is no longer any tension in the door. Well, the behavior of the rock makes sense. Knowing what we know now, thanks to Sweetcheetah, is that the rock is extremely well-bonded, pure quartz. This rock went through a lot of metamorphism to the point where the quartz grains grew into each other. The degree to which this happens with quartzites depends on how much metamorphism it undergoes. Some quartzites aren't much different from the sandstone they started out as. But others get much more heat and pressure and approach melting, but don't melt. Instead they recrystallize where the grains all grow into each other. It looks like in this rock the crystals are fairly large, which probably makes it more challenging to work with. So yeah, cutting this rock would be a lot like cutting glass. Extremely difficult and prone to breaking. As I described above, quartz (and glass) tends to break unevenly so it's hard to make a clean cut in that case. Too bad, Antarctica is a stunner. But the Snowflakes is cool too! Soilbean's example is fantastic (and those pendants - swoon!).

I have the built-in Miele coffee machine. Our is a plumbed version so we don't have to fill the water reservoir. You still have to add beans, empty grounds/waste and do maintenance on the machine, such as cleaning and descaling. I don't drink coffee, but DH does and it was the only thing he asked that I include in the kitchen remodel. He seems to be happy with it! Looks like dragon fruit = Hylocereus undatus. (It could be Stenocereus, that is very similar). Hope you have lots of room, they grow large and should be staked and tied to be more manageable. (I got rid of plant I had because the size and very sharp spines :) They can be grown from seed. This plant is also used as a rootstok for grafting and could start growing , especially if grafted plant dies.

Andrea, I'd like the penstemon, if there's any left, pinks, oat grass, and amsonia. I have phorium (I think) Red Sensation, geranium pyrenaicum 'Bill Wallis', a prolific purple bloomer, and miscanthus sinensis 'Yaku Jima' in return. Susan (drtdgr)

drtdgr (Susan): I've got your babies set aside and yes please on the "in returns" !

Teresa, I'll bring you a bunch of the pinks. They're still fairly small so you can separate them if you want to spread them out.
