...what the standard is these days for pink daylilies? I know it used to be Becky Lynn -- still a great daylily, but I don't think of it as "pink' necessarily. (For those who've never grown it, BL is a deep rose that fades more to coral.) I really do want a fabulous pink for my Pink, Orange, Yellow, and Blue flowerbed. I have Barbara Mitchell, Siloam Double Classic (really a peach), and Becky Lynn, along with Kwanso, Brand New Love, Velvet Beads, and some pretty yellows. But I want a REAL baby-girl, bubblegum pink that performs very well.

I've seen some of your photos and just drool over them. So please let me know what your BEST one is for performance and color. And does anyone know if the standard for pink has changed?

How about Strawberry Candy? That's the most favorite pink in my garden.

It is possible that you move the mouse a little bit downwards while clicking the tab and that can cause the tab to get detached and opened in a new window. Firefox 3.5 versions and later have a feature called tear-off tabs. You can detach a tab from the current window and open it in a new window by dragging a tab in the browser window. You can drag that tab back to the tab bar in the original window to undo that detaching.

Thanks for your replies, wirosarian, Jackie, Patty, and SoFL rose. I'm surprised to hear that our temps could be cold enough to cause this. We have days in the 60's and nights in the 40's lately. But, I guess it does make sense, because if it was much colder, it wouldn't bloom at all. I never would have considered cold temperatures causing it. Some sort of bug was consistently ruining the buds on Irish Creme during the summer. I just assumed it was the same thing. I think you guys maybe correct. I'm looking more closely now, and I don't really see chewing from a pest. I'm glad I asked, because I never once thought it could be anything but pest damage. Thank you all so much! Lisa

haha @just_janni, you are so right. And aren't there two sinks there? I looked at their website. Full of pop-ups every second (on my phone anyway). They don't actually build or install anything. It's just clickbait for a lot of articles. But the OP was just asking about the counters and using their photo. The photoshopping must be why the caption says it's Taj Mahal quartzite. Probably a few photos cobbled together.

Thank you to all who responded. We are building a house and it is clad with limestone but the mortar that was applied is too dark and we are struggling to get the right color. We have tried to match the stone color but have not succeeded. Our goal is an old world look like in the photos.

Thanks Pam -- I have grown Strawberry Candy and it's not exactly what I'm looking for in this bed.

Rita and Nancy, I love both of those photos. Does either of them re-bloom or have a nice fragrance? Neither is necessary, but would certainly be a bonus.

For your zone I would suggest Belle Cook, Belle of Ashwood, Elusive Happiness, Voluptuous Beauty and Shores of Time. The closest to bubblegum pink are Elusive Happiness and Shores of Time. The best performers are Belle of Ashwood and Elusive Happiness.

Hush Little Baby and Bama Music are mid-late bloomers and are considered rebloomers. I don't remember having rebloom from them here. Bama Music is slightly fragrant, Hush Little Baby has no fragrance. Hope this helps.

I've seen the pink/orange duality of Strawberry Candy in online photos, and I'm waiting until it blooms before I plunge for anything else pink.

Rita (or others with orange Strawberry Candy), do you notice that other pink flowers tend to bloom orange in your garden?

Hi nate. A lot of pinks do tend to go peachy in my garden, but Pink Gingham is always pink.

Pink Gingham is really pretty!
I have Hush Little Baby & Bama Music too. I love the color on Hush Little Baby, whether you love pink or not, you should have it. I've only had mine a couple of years, & the first year it didn't bloom too well. Last year it did really well & seemed to keep reblooming. I've never had rebloom on Bama Music though, and had it several years.
Surprisingly Pink is rather pretty, but not listed as a rebloomer.

Hush Little Baby is a beauty. Pink Gingham does rebloom, in my garden it usually has three separate bloom phases. It is not a tall one, so it needs to be in front, but since it blooms so nicely, I keep it.

OMG, thanks everyone for the info and gorgeous pics! I had forgotten that I already have Shores of Time -- bought it late last year after it had already bloomed, so I can't wait to see it.

I think I'll prolly add Hush Little Baby and Elusive Happiness. I really love the ruffling on Possom Hollow, all the others are just stunning. Sigh -- so many daylilies, so little... well, you know!

I've just added Hush Little Baby and Surprisingly Pink to my list! I'm a sucker for pinks.

Pink Gingham is a dormant - it may or may not survive here in zone 8!

I was just looking at flowers and saw a nice pink one you might like. Maryotts has one called Choral Fantasy. Just be careful if you order from him-he's addicting. (wonderful plants and bonuses)
