Really nice pictures. I really love the yellow rose, what is it? Your iris are beautiful, and the Lupine are just such a great plant. I like the way you have everything packed in!! Thanks for sharing those.

I can't believe those lupines! I can not get them to grow here no matter how hard I try. They grew like weeds in Alaska and I still miss them. All the beautiful colors, I love your garden, I love big bold colors and you got it going on for sure. Lovely, it is so cold and ugly here today I will go over your pictures about 10 times to make myself feel better. Wow! Thanks

Cindy- Those yellow roses out front are Sunsprite. I have a bunch of them in the first row there. And you know I pack everything in here. You know I love the jumbled look LOL!

Flowergirl- Thanks. I love lots of flowers, lots of bloom and lots of color so I try to have alot going on in the garden. Those Lupines were new last year, most of them didn't come up this spring. But I will go out and get more and try again as I just flipped over them and loved them so.

Now you know, Rita, you can't post gorgeous pictures like those and not tell what they all are...what is that gorgeous deep pink (2nd rose picture)? Pretty pictures, always worth seeing again.

Another nice group of pics to get us through this cooler spring.

I'm just getting into adding more clematis here and the clematis forum has been a wealth of information and the folks on it are so helpful. I love how you interplanted different ones together. Looks very striking.

I have now only 4 rose bushes (2 tea roses and 2 carpet roses). I took alot out last fall because what started out as yellow, pink or coral bushes all turned to red within 2 years. I may try another yellow one but I think I need to research more thoroughly before buying another one so that doesn't happen again.

Val- The Clematis Tower is only about five feet tall. I loved the way it looked so much last spring that I made another just afew feet away. I already had another tower structure exactly the same that I was not using for anything so I just bought more clematis and made another one. Will see how they both look this spring as I prunned the original quite heavily after bloom last year. Usually I just leave it.

Julia- I just love my roses. It took me years after I started my garden redos until I got into roses but I wanted lots more color and so I tried roses. That got me to the rose crazies, which came long before my daylily crazies. Now I absolutely can not immagine my garden without the roses.

If your pink or yellow turned into red then the roses died above the graft and what you had blooming is the rootstock. Next time bury the grafts deeply or better yet, try own root roses.

Kay- The second rose shot is of the shrub rose section in the front yard. There are a batch of pink and pinkish roses showing there in the picture all jumbled up together. You know I like them that way. They start from left to right to be CITRUS SPLASH (multicolored), RUFFLED CLOUD (center of the shot) and GREETINGS (single toward the back).

By the way for anyone thinking about rose spacing, these are planted about 18 inches apart and there are more in there were not in bloom in the picture.

Just slap me!!! I so wanna see all my flowers blooming like that. GORGEOUS! I hope to have roses in a couple weeks blooming real soon. I love the pink and purple azaleas mixed together. I bought some today that I am going to mix like that. The lupines are waaaaaaay to pretty. Thanks! Judy

Judy- I have a row of pink azealas planted in front of a row of purple. As the shrubs grew they kind of blended together. I did this in stages. One year I planted the purples and the following spring enlarged the bed by planting the pink ones in front. All those azealas were five and six dollar one gallon finds at Home Depot afew years ago.

OMG,RITA,This is all amazingly Beautiful.You never posted any of these pictures last spring,if you did,I can't believe I didnt remember them.I just know you didnt,No way would I forget anything this gorgeous.Your roses put mine to shame.And your Clematis too.Now that is a work of art, That Clematis Tower.Just gorgeous.I will have to keep coming back to this post over and over to see all this beauty you have created.Just Beautiful.

Jean- I probably didn't post these pictures here since they aren't of daylilies. I know I posted lots last year at the roses gallery and also cottage garden forum so could have posted them there.

Beautiful roses! Love the Louise Clements. I remember the lupines, so very pretty. I really need to get some more. I had lupines for several years, but they didn't come back one year. One of those really wet, cold winters. Your clematis are beautiful too.

The Little Lupines over on the South Side of my house are doing well and growing nicely. Here are pictures from today. But of the potted ones, only two show some start of growth. I am sure the others are dead. On some of them, I can not even find the dried out plant from last year. Just nothing there at all.
