Sorry I haven't checked back on this thread in a while. I had mentioned that I have some amaryllis that return & bloom in summer. They are the regular amaryllis you get at Christmas. I have a couple planted close to the house & they have come back the last few years. I've planted several in different places one year when I got tired of taking care of them. Lost one where the ground tends to be more moist, lost another that came up in the spring, but got lots of heavy spring rain & it rotted. I guess the other 2 were just lucky in their placement. Not sure exactly when they bloom, I think June. I know they are late coming up. I doubt they return this year though, weather got below 0 a couple of times & have had below 10 degrees several times this winter. I'll let you know if they do survive :)

I wish I lived close by - they would be gone in a second. I am planting a lot along my 40 yard driveway. Every year I add a few more.

Hi All, I really haven't been buying much this year to have more than I plant. At least not yet! In couple more months maybe I'll have to decide what to keep and what to share. There's a place called the "lily auction", but I can't offer you a link unless someone asks for it. Ebay is another spot to try, too. Some of the less expensive breeding plants are Spacecoast Starburst, Awesome Blossom, Taos, Spacecoast Cranberry Breeze, Spacecoast Cranberry Kid, Darla Anita, Sherry Lane Carr, Pearl Harbor, Magic Amethyst, Ed Brown, Victorian Lace, Mandalay Bay Music, and a lot of others. The daylily seeds can sometimes be expensive, so most people would rather do trades. So if you have something to offer, you could try to post a trade here or search the members trade list. You can find the members trade list at the bottom of the main page on the forum where you sign in. There's a link at the bottom of the page called "member services".
