Hi I'm in if so.

Zellers at Kipling/Queensway? Any other locations? How about a Sunday, either May 18 or May 25th?

Do either of those dates work for interested parties? Please post here so we all know.

Thanks to everyone that came to the swap! Don and I had a blast and we really appreciate all the beautiful new plants we brought home!! Now I have to get busy and find homes for them all! It looks like we had a problem with directions. Someone told us they had rerouted at least one of the exits coming from I-40 to where you wound up on Bryan Blvd. We'll be sure to correct that this fall. My apologies to anyone that ended up lost and couldn't find us. Monisha, I still have your purple verbena. Will try to catch up with you and give that to ya.

Hi All For a while there, it seemed as if I wasn't going to make it. This is definitely going to be the most busy weekend I can remember. I don't really have any pre arranged trades, except for the mayapple, so I think I'm just going to come with most of whats on my list -some divisions from the garden- and drop 'em in the circle. Are there any 'budding' gardeners comming out this year? As I wouldn't mind returning the favour I got last year. Well, I look forward to seeing you all. And yeah...do cover those plants...I always say to wait until june.... List Additions -3 pots of Columbine - deep purple with white center -3 monarda divisons (w/roots) -3 artemesia pots (one large) -a pot with some large lily bulbilis' (year/two from bloom)

Hi folks! Granny!!!!! Of course you count!!!!! I'll take pictures of the Mail Pouch "barn" and other stuff so Lee can show you on his computer. Beverly hasn't even seen them yet! I broke my little finger and am waiting to see the hand specialist to be sure I didn't damage any tendons or ligaments. I hope not. This nine fingered typing is for the birds! I keep trying to use the splinted finger and typing really weird stuff! I also pulled the muscles of my chest badly enough that they thought that I might have a broken rib. Sheesh! I'm still going to find a way to pot up those last few plants! There is NO WAY I'll let if spoil my once in a lifetime trip with the boys. We're going snorkeling, para sailing, catamaran sailing, swimming with the dolphins and even some time for just laying on the beach! No heavy lifting for me until after the cruise! I'm overwhelmed with all the stuff I need to do in the next two weeks so I'd better go make another list and start checking things off! Barbi, was that you who wanted the baby arborvitae? I'll save them for you. I did dig up the campion that seeded itself in my stone path before I hurt myself. (*again*) They are a nice biennial. Mine are white but Beverly has some rose ones so who knows what color the seeds the bees made! I have Solomon's seal that needs dividing and some salvia that seeded into my stone path too. The candy tuft jumped the path but it might have to wait 'til fall. I can't wait to see Betty and Ron all the way from Michigan. I keep killing my forget-me-nots! Wonder what I'm doing to them? I hope everyone is doing well and my penchant for injuring myself is not "catching"! ~~Mimi

Hi there,

No confusion at all. I understood that here we were discussing the Toronto West end swap 2008.
May 18 at the same old place behind Zellers at Kipling/Queensway seems to be an excellent choice.

Ciao all-

Where are we with this swap? It's almost May, can you believe it? Amazing how time flies when the snow's gone! We're really going to try to make this swap. If I may just ask if any of you have peonies, lilac divisions, and bleeding hearts, especially white ones, those are really what I need right now to fill some holes along a shady side of the house and also a sunnier spot by the front driveway. Sydseeds, if you're out there, I'd love more of your "invasive" bleeding hearts and I've got some lovely basil to trade for them.

Hi all, sorry I thought I posted a reply to this last week but it doesn't seem to be here! May 18th is fine by me. I think we should aim to have at least EIGHT PEOPLE to make this worthwhile. So far we are three. If anyone is interested please post here that you are coming otherwise it's not worth the effort. I have TONS of new plants coming in from last year...no idea what half of them are. I purchased a great deal from Canadian Tire too and did some generous exchanges with people I met elsewhere online so I'm hoping to do more of that soon too.

I really thought last year's Spring get together was fantastic, so many plants left over and so many great things that I even took the leftovers in the end to the school and planted them there.

Would be nice to see a good turnout again, but I don't think the FALL one worked out and it doesn't seem like anyone else seems interested in a GTA West swap right now, so I think if we get around EIGHT people reply here that they are attending we should fly with it, otherwise attend the other swaps. I'm pretty full up but if nothing is going to fly I will just give my extra stuff to the school garden. I have lots of interesting plants but couldn't tell you what they are.
