I have a small Harry Lauder's Walking Stick that's fun to look at in the winter, as long as the snow isn't too deep. Here he is after a recent snowfall.

Thank you so much! To be sure I should listen to my hubby at all times especially about weather. I'm not sure how many inches we got..maybe 3. You got much more, Carol. It's been years since we've had a good snow and this one is already almost gone. Wish I could send you some, Ingrid. We've had our share of drought as well, so it is almost a treat to see some real mud. The roses are Madame Alfred Carriere and Cl. Pinkie on the right. Both are going up into an apple tree. Veilchenblau is on the $35 Big Lots arbor which is about as temporary as they come. Folksinger is on the left, one of Buck's best bloomers I think. I like petals on the ground too, Krista, they are like a little mirror of the plant above. No wonder flower girls strew them for brides. Linda

Hello Everyone!!! You all up north really were hit extra hard...I can't believe you have 4-5 feet! Unbelievable weather.. We did hit a record for VB, 14 -15 inches...and every thing is shut down...back roads are still a mess..the main streets are still down to one lane.... Trishmick...I know what you mean about working for FedEx, my brother and I had a small franchise with Airborne Express 10-15 years ago...and had 10 or so routes. Those years were the best that i can remember..as far as being in great shape! My hat is off to you and what you do for us...hope the snow melts fast for you, but with that much snow it will probably take a while. I have thought and thought why Harry is one of the cutest dogs I have ever seen. Know why, Harry looks human. His face has many expressions. This is your best picture of Harry. He isn't lounging in the recliner, he is posing for that picture. Smart dog.

Snowy Harry looks how I have felt these past few days with this ridiculous cold weather we've been having. Those are very interesting trees. Neat to see, even when it is cold out.

How cool is Harry! Post pictures when he's not under that white blanket he's wearing. I always think those are so neat, really unusual.

Thanks all, I'm happy that you could enjoy Harry too. Covered with leaves, he's a pretty ordinary little guy, but let him get naked, and he's quite an eye-catcher.

That's a very cool pic. However, can you please tell me how do you get your picture, and not just the link, on your post?

Kitha - In order to get a picture to show up in your message, you first have to have it stored on a web server somewhere. PhotoBucket is a popular free web server for storing pictures.

Second, you have to type a link, in HTML code, in your message. If you use PhotoBucket, they have this all worked out for you, and you can just copy the code they show you right into your message.

For more details, see the Gallery Forum part of the Cottage Gardens Forum. There is a message there called "Instructions for posting pics, thumbnails and imbedded links" That should help a lot.

If you have problems, just post a question. Lots of us had the same question when we first started doing this, and we would be happy to help you.
