probably a simple question...

I have an aloe and it's leaves are turning yellow from the tips down. I repotted and watered it about two-three weeks ago. Is this usually a matter of not enough sun, to much/little water?

My thought is that it's not too much water, or the leaves would get mushy. Yet, I know it doesn't need a ton of water, esp. in the winter.

I rescued it from the discount bin at lowes- it was laying on it's side in barely any dirt, in about 35 degree weather.
