Hey everyone I just wanted to update on how my seedlings are doing and wanted to see if alkh86 would want to post his seedlings because we happen to have started on the same day. 3 days ago they got moved from the cfl's to a T5. They really seem to be responding well to it because the needles on top have doubled in these 3 days. I still have them in the container with the lid should I start getting them used to dryer conditions if I plan on grafting with them in about a month?

paracelsus they are perfectly legal to possess as oriental plants however consumption is illegal. You should consider re-potting when the volume of the cactus has passed the volume of the pot. You shouldn't re-pot at the end of the growth cycle best to do it when hot and sunny because the plant gets shocked. Remember that San Pedro's grow very fast so if you want them to grow the most possible place them in a 3+ gallon pot so you don't need to re-pot more than once or twice.

cactusmharris: Yes, I was taught that 'C' is always hard, but slightly softer when it precedes 'h'. The 'S'-sound (in front of certain vowels) was introduced during the late antique period and became the standard in medieval Latin. At first it felt weird to always use the 'K' sound, but once I got used to it I actually found it easier. Of course, since botanical Latin was developed much later, the more modern pronunciation is far more common, especially as the pronunciation of the Latin words that still exist in many Western languages is based on the modern rules. mastemot: I think you will have to wait for quite some time. I don't know exactly how big/old they must be, but I have only seen flowers on much bigger plants (this is one reason why I don't grow cereoids). BTW, it is the red spines on your N. scopa that I envy, I once had one that I accidentially killed, and I have not yet found a replacement, most plants have only white spines :-(.

I have a number of rooted, seed grown san pedros, about 6-8" or more, all decent looking specimens. I'm going to guess about 5 years old. They are just beginning to take off, rapid growth! Interested in trading for what have you. These are somewhat "rare" to an extent so hopefully you have something similar? Looking particularly for hardy edibly plants (fruiting or perennial veggies), hardy water lilies, MAYBE rooted Brugmansias, rooted figs, etc, things along those lines? Thanks!
