Picea Glauca Pendula

I want to get some type of tall upright growing ( with weeping branches) conifer for my small urban yard. Height is not an issue but I would like it to have a fairly small footprint in the yard. I live in northern Utah, along the wasatch front which is zone 6.

I have seen some pictures of Picea Glauca Pendula and it seems like the perfect fit. I am wondering what you all think about this tree and if you have any better suggestions. It would be planted in an eastern exposure with morning sun and afternoon shade.

While I am an experienced gardener, I don't have much experience with conifers other than the usual alberta spruce. I am designing a garden with hosta and Japanese Maple trees and figured some conifers would be a great addition. I just don't have room for anything gigantic.

Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Linda
